I came across Matthew Rajaratnam’s resume in early 2017 while my team and I were looking for additional help on a time-sensitive project involving the manual segmentation of CT scans to create a repository of data for machine learning purposes. Matthew stood out among the applicants and was hired. He quickly became adept at using the software and contributed significantly to completion of the project. I have since renewed his initial contract for an additional timequarter here at Intuitive Surgical in recognition of the exceptionally high quality of his work and intend to continue extending his engagement as long as he remains available. During his relatively short season with us, Matthew has demonstrated creativity in uncovering tricky bugs, responsibility, the ability to work independently and has remained focused on the goals we have set for him. I believe all these attributes will serve him well in an advanced study in Medicine Outside of his work, Matthew has proven his dedication to his interest in medicine by taking advantage of the several opportunities available at our company. Since starting here, he has gone to all of our clinical education events such as a physician presentation on navigational bronchoscopy, an introductory course to interventional pulmonology, and live presentations featuring a high-volume da Vinci surgeon broadcasting his cases from the OR. In addition to his role in software development, Matthew works with our clinical team and does setup/clean up for clinical labs. During the labs, I will see Matthew curious abouthim asking and inquiring with the clinical and mechanical engineers about various questions regarding their work and specific details ofabout our robotic surgical systems. Matthew is a highly motivated and disciplined young man with a good grasp of the fundamentals of human health. I sense in our conversations, the empathy and the urgency for good outcomes. S: YMR stated that she had been living with her mother about one year, has is a newcomer. YMR lived with her maternal grandmother for many years back in her country. YMR stated that when she arrived to the U.S., she found out that her mother was pregnant, She shared that her mother did not want to tell her because she did not know how the client was going to react. In reading the first article Coach Knight: The Will to Win, I found the article found Coach Knight to be very offensive and mean to his players. Coach Knight did not display good leadership skills.
