If you were intelligent, attractive and well educated wouldn't you go on to make a positive name for yourself? In fact, most people would, however, one man took this concept in a very different direction. In the article ”Crimes of the Century” (TIME magazine 1/3-2007) authored by Howard Chua-Eoan, we read about the notorious serial killer Ted Bundy. Ted Bundy used his good looks and charm to his advantages, taking the lives of young women and girls.

Bundy was born 24th November 1946 out of wedlock. His mother Eleanor Louise Cowell delivered Bundy at a home for unwed mothers in Vermont. He Was raised to believe that his grandparents were his parents and that his mother was his older sister, this was made up to hide the fact that he was an illegitimate child. Ted entered her home on February 4th, 1974. He committed his crime by bludgeoning and sexually assaulting with a metal rod. Joni survived the ordeal but never regained the memory of the attack.

As years passed by multiple women began disappearing just within months of each other. Ted would travel all around the country in search of women to kill. He used to target women that looked like his ex-girlfriend.

Various witnesses came forward throughout the years and gave the police detailed descriptions of the suspect. When his friends and co-workers where Ted used to work saw those sketches they all recognized and reported him to the police. However, the police didn’t believe that the charismatic and polite law student could have been the murderer and he was neglected as a suspect.
