Struggles of Teen Activists Introduction Teen activists are kids who not only want to make a difference, but are brave enough to try. Teen activists are kids that do whatever they can to help the world. They are compassionate for those less fortunate, they befriend those who are in need of help, and they try to have more people to come and help. Teen activists all have one more thing in common to become a teen activist, either the activist has had personal struggles, seen someone or something have personal struggles, or they read an article. Own Personal Struggle To begin with, some teen activist not only strive for a better world but may have gone through a bad world. Some teen activists may have been bullied, been physically threatened, and some punished. For instance, Alex Libby a child who has suffered from bullying has been trying to make a better place by trying to stop bullying. They called fishface, he was tossed around and was all alone sitting at lunch. He said, “I craved friends. I didn’t have any friends. That was all I wanted, some friendship, someone to come over, someone to lift me back up when I’m knocked down. I didn’t have that,” This proves how he was affected by bullying from others and now is trying to stop it. Having a personal struggle is an important part in why he is an activist. Some teen activists see what a person or a animal is experiencing and want to help. For instance, Faye Carey is a great example of inspired by someone or for her case, inspired by something. Faye Carey was inspired by a puppy in the pound. "We picked up a puppy in the pound the first day I went to Animal Control and then on my last day he was still there and I felt really sorry for him," she says. This shows true character of Faye and how this little puppy changed her life. The animal’s struggles helped find how she wanted to help
