Gaby Rodriguez was the youngest of seven children of a single mother growing up in Toppenish, Washington. Her mother gave birth to her first of seven children at the age of 15 and all of Gaby’s siblings began having children in their adolescence as well. Gaby grew watching her mother and siblings struggle trying to raise their children and work slightly above minimum wage jobs to support their families. She often found herself watching her nieces and nephews while missing out on peer interaction throughout her early adolescence. Gaby watched how hard it was for her family and vowed to not make the same mistakes by becoming a teen mom. As Gaby entered high school, she found herself somewhat inexperienced when it came to making friends. Having to watch after her nieces and nephews, she only made a few friends when she could go outside and play. She made friends with a few students in her honors classes and she gained a best friend, Saida. In her sophomore years, she meets her boyfriend, Jorge and they continued to date throughout high school and even after she graduated from high school. Gaby managed to maintain good grades, but always wondered what she could do to make a difference in other lives. For her senior project, she decided to “fake” her pregnancy, to get a glimpse into the lives of pregnant teens. She wanted to observe the stereotypes people always spoke of, the discouraging comments that were said about teen moms, and backlash they experience from their families. Since, most members in her family and community believed Gaby would follow in her family’s footsteps, it was not hard to convince everyone she was pregnant. Throughout the memoir, Gaby shared her experiences and the challenges she faces as she carried out this plan. By the end of the experiment, Gaby was very unhappy and she was ready to go back to living a normal life. However, her life has not been normal since.

Gaby Rodriguez’s purpose in The Pregnant Project is to inspire readers to think positively and to know their own inner strength despite how others may judge or act.
Most of her siblings thought that she ruined her great life. One of her brothers said, “She was supposed to be the one who was different and would make our mother proud. She’s so stupid.” Although this made Gaby want to give up on her project she still kept going because she knew it would change the way people think of teens who are pregnant or going through a rough time since they think they will not be able to accomplish anything. One of the main lessons that Gaby Rodriguez tried to teach with her fake pregnancy project was for young people to stop being mean and stereotyping each other. Instead, they should help themselves out when going through rough times.
Gatsby never seems able to make close friend many of his so-called friends just show up to his house to party and they rarely if ever talk or even see him. When Nick arrives a Gatsby’s house he’s unable to find him. “As soon as I arrived I made an attempt to find my host, but the two or three people of whom I asked his whereabouts stared at me in such an amazed way and denied so vehemently any knowledge of his movements, that I slunk off in the direction of the cocktail table – the only place in the garden where a single man could linger without looking purposeless and alone” (35). Gatsby hangs in the background and is very isolated from his “friends” at his parties and very rarely seen. Fitzgerald sees New York as being like one of Gatsby's parties, only less glamorous and full of people, and full of loneliness. Here you can see that Mr. Gatz (Jay’s father)

To some people a baby can be the best thing that ever happened to them, but then there are others who have decisions to make. They will go through an important stage in any relationship, the make it or break it stage. The two stories that I will be analyzing will be “Desiree’s Baby” by Kate Chopin and “Hills like White Elephants” by Earnest Hemingway. In both stories the characters found out how babies can be a deciding factor in a relationship, and that’s what I will be focusing on.
The First Part Last was an intense and realistic book which, believe it or not, relates to our society more than a multitude of people think. Some of us hide behind the opinion that our society is more safe, secure, and intelligent in common problems than some people think. Angela Johnson brings one important issue to light in this book, which is the topic of teen pregnancy. In this book, a young high school boy named Bobby impregnates his girlfriend, Nia, and the main plot of the book is how this baby affects Bobby and Nia’s life, both physically and mentally. In this book, Bobby becomes a man, and there are many examples that prove this.

Adam Lind may lose any rights he has with his daughters, Aubree and Paislee because he brought them around a registered sex offender. The undisputed evidence was shown on this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, according to Radar Online, April 14, 2016.

The form I have chosen to use in order to depict my satirical piece about teenage pregnancy is that of a Teen Vogue magazine. I chose this form due to the fact that it is a well-known magazine for teenagers. I also chose this due to the fact that Teen Vogue and many other women’s magazines comprise of stereotypical, unrealistic, naïve and irrational content aimed towards female that can be, in a sense, highly demeaning.
Raising a child isn't an easy thing to do. Raising a child while the parents are still in their teens is even harder. Dealing with the day to day chores that involves a baby and trying to work and get an education is very stressful on any teen.
I never thought having unprotected sex would lead to a teen pregnancy. However, I was wrong. Being young, immature, and thinking I was invincible led me to becoming a teenage mother. The disbelief came first, followed quickly by panic, before the realization and acceptance arrived. I had sex and I had to be mature and deal with the consequences and grow up faster than most teenagers. The days of my carefree teen life are now behind me as I tend to my eight month old son’s every need.

For instance, they think that the two should get married, get jobs, and raise the child. The parents even offered to help Katharine and James “get off to a
Do you know the difficulties many teens parents face while having a child? Many people believe that teen parents don 't have many problems and babies are easy to take care of, but that is not the case at all. 3 in 10 teenage girls will face many of these challenges because that is the percentage of teenage girls who get pregnant (Slocum). My essay will talk about all of the issues teen parents face from having a child. The problems that I will be talking about that they face include health issues, getting an education, the issues their children face, the relationship between the parents, and having money problems.
