This week had a big focus on our prototype project because it is coming down to the final weeks of this projects before we go to Telus Spark for the celebration of learning night. So in order to prepare for this we had a grade 10 science class come and test our projects and the people form Telus spark came for a second visit. In addition to spending so much time on our prototype project, there has been a lot of focus on our core subjects; so it has definitely been a very jam packed week.
On wednesday this week members for Telus Spark came again to see how our projects were coming along and to again, provide any information that they could to help push our projects to that next level and make them even better. This time around Revecca and

One obstacle that I found my project had was the fact that we were so used to only doing the experiment on one person at a time so at first when 6 people came up all together it was a little bit overwhelming to carry out the experiment but they were some friends from my other school so it helped take the pressure off and we were able to do the experiment with them. Of course other people that we didn't know came up to our exhibit and it honestly went pretty well for the most part. Other than the fact that pouring the alcohol into the peoples mixtures took a little it longer than it should. Once this was all done later on that day we worked on solutions that might be able to help us make our project go smoother. We hope to at least have thing's pre measured so that people can just combine them while they are at our station, but we will see how this …show more content…
They were both okay, I did not achieve what I wanted to on them but I could have done worst. Taking social test's have always been a struggle for me, just because they are so long and it is a lot of reading, trying to pull out different pieces of information and figuring out what exactly they are asking. They are also very sneaky and make some of the answers quite similar. Even though I have taken social test's like this for all of my middle school career they never get any easier! When it came to math, I generally just did not exile in the measurement unit very well, even though I studied and did practice questions. Hopefully the next unit will go a little better, but some of my friends that have math said that the next unit is really hard, so I am quite scared. Wish me
4. Self-Assessment: I was impressed on how quickly I found the answer to the Problem of the Week. Normally, in this math class, first answer you get immediately is not the right answer. But this time I got it on the first try. I would rate myself a 10 out of 10 for my
That was a beautiful week, I enjoyed reading all of the materials despite my challenge about the electricity issues. I have some concerns because until now due to electricity issues I am unable to participate in the discussion forum. I posted so late in the discussion when the electricity was established I prepared my assignments, I assessed my peers, and I did not find enough time to go in the discussion forum to read and rate my fellow classmates; and I did not grade for my discussion. Then, I will strive to see how I am going to solve this problem quickly.
Good discussion forum, everyone providing excellent tips and information which adds a lot more value to our learning, especially this week that I was not sure what answers were expected for the discussion.
I really like getting into the nitty-gritty of solving problems. I was happy to see that several students actually provided solutions to the problems that were identified using Heap’s law. I wish I had the time this week to have looked into it myself. I’m hoping that we might be doing some of that next week though.
Score: 3 I believe I did a good job at asking both open and closed ended questions while not passing judgement. I did shake my head quite a bit which could be seen as an interference of personal behaviors but I believe it showed that I was paying attention to what the teacher was saying.
There was once a little town called Sparksville just inside the state lines of Wisconsin. It was a small town, unknown to basically everyone who didn’t live in Wisconsin. The people who lived in the town were nice to strangers, for not to many people came through very often, and they also had amazing hospitality. So amazing in fact the hotels would let complete strangers stay for free as long as they spread good news to their friends about the town. There was only one school in town for there were only about 432 residents living in Sparksville at the time, but the school was decently sized for a small town. The students were all grade A students, the teachers rarely often had problems with any of the students as they were raised with generous manners. Since Sparksville was such a small town the school didn’t offer very many sports other than Hockey, Football, and Basketball.
This week was full of topics that I had not studied before. I enjoyed learning about the Mexican American War. This is a topic I am very unfamiliar with. As a resident of Texas, I was surprised how much I did not know. I had always assumed that Mexico had a weak army so learning that they had a bigger and more powerful army was interesting. I was also unfamiliar with all the figures that played a role in the Mexican American war. I wonder if we could have a president who now who is able to keep his campaign promises now the way James K. Polk did. It was encouraging to me to see that the American soldiers acted appropriately and treated the Spanish priests that they encountered with respect and behaved well. It was fascinating to see Robert
There is much to be said about this week, yet I don't want to take a lot of your time. I'll touch of some experiences and highlights.
The weather this week is relatively calm. I only came across two interesting items. One is hurricane Matthew and the other being the earthquake warning in southern California. Quite honestly I’m not sure that the earthquake warning counts as weather but it was very interesting and in my opinion is related to geography. So, I will talk about the hurricane.
Thus far we have largely been focusing on the logistics and bureaucratic aspects of preparing to begin research. Professor Barwick, Aashwin, Akrit, Prawesh and I met to discuss when our schedules align for collaborative work. We determined that Thursday afternoons would best suit the majority of us for working in the labs, and that we would all meet at a different point in the week--likely Monday mornings--to discuss our progress. During that meeting, we also visited the lab spaces again and discussed what each area would be used for.
I did meet my goal score. I don't plan on retaking the test at the moment. However, after I do a little more research

The topics that I chose for this week is the butterfly Rydberg molecule that I read about in the web based article "A New Type of Atomic Bond Has Been Discovered" written by David Nield and publish by Science Alert.
I hope the week is going well for you! Attached is the enhanced version of our Strategy Overview & Performance Monthly Report, for your records and review.
