Tension Type Headaches (TTH) are common in clinical practice. Tension type headaches lasts minutes to weeks. The pain is usually pressing or tightening in quality, mild to moderate in intensity, and bilateral in location, but does not exacerbate by the physical activity. Nausea and vomiting is usually absent, but photophobia or phonophobia can be present. The words tension and type underline its indefinite pathogenesis and indicates some kind of mental or muscular tension may play a causative role.
