Terrible Transportation in Las Vegas The RTC, Regional Transportation Commission, is the only bus system all around the Las Vegas area and it covers most of the valley. People all over this vast city depend on this multicultural transit system, whether they are old, young, rich, or poor. Nevertheless, riding the bus in Las Vegas is not only dangerous, it is time-consuming, on top of being a filthy place to expose oneself to. The bus in this city is alarming to ride in many areas of the town as passengers make their way from point A to point B. The bus travels straight up and down each street without turning on most of its routes. As the bus repeatedly drives along its route it heads through some not so decent parts of town, this can be seen …show more content…
Keep in mind that when riding there are no phone charger abilities and bus drivers do not let anyone sleep. Often, it takes about an hour to get anywhere in this city by bus, sometimes two or more if planning on going across town; seriously sluggish compared to a car which only takes thirty minutes to an hour to cut clear across town. Regularly, there are long wait times for a bus to arrive with every twenty minutes being the quickest a bus will appear. Some buses, like the Warm Springs 217 bus route and the Tory Pines bus only run once an hour. Furthermore, if a bus is out of commission suddenly for any reason at all, the transit system does not send a replacement; passengers are left waiting at the bus stop without any kind of warning and postponed until the next bus in route shows. It happens more frequently than one would think of for a bus to run up to five, ten, and even sometimes fifteen minutes late. However, if a bus is early it must wait at its assigned stop until its regularly scheduled route timestamp to allow for customers to catch the …show more content…
Remember how earlier it was mentioned that any fare paying passenger was allowed on the bus, this includes people with the flu or any kind of sickness creating a germ-infested bus that is only cleaned once a day! All too often bus riders seem to have no sense of respect for fellow passengers leaving their trash on the seats when they depart. In just about every bus in the valley, a rider can see stains on the floor that are sometimes sticky from the drinks spilled throughout that single day even though drinks are not allowed on the bus. Along with icky floors comes gross windows or sometimes even gunk on the seats this is often from the children who smear their dirty fingers and faces all over the bus. Unfortunately, this junk is left on the bus all day for each passenger to see. Rather a repulsive sight when someone takes the time to think that even as often as the bus stops at the transit stations no one wipes the buses down between runs even with all the stops that a bus
The collection of Riders fades, as the music continues to play, to a newspaper heading that reads “ICC Forbids Bus station Segregation.” Quickly, it fades to another headline that reads “Bus Terminals Told to Mix Up or Close Up” as historian Raymond
Cars, buses, and trucks are over crowed the road and its difficult for the traffic to move alone smoothly. The change of Northern Illinois University’s bus system is demanded throughout campus through various sources. The issue comes in hand of the student’s safety through afternoon times. Our current bus system puts not only the student’s safety on line but its staff as well. The fact of the line is, having one bus running throughout an 800 acres campus does not make it safe for students and staff to get from one place of campus to another. It’s a way to save money rather than helping students get around campus in a safe and efficient way. Although there will be more money needed to add the number of buses running after 7pm, the investment is crucial for students’ safety
-Since I have experience with riding buses, I know that busy hours are in the morning and afternoon, when people are going to work and to school and after work and school. Normally, there’s mixed crowds of people going to work in their uniforms or business attire and there are people of all ages going
You usually would not expect a seventeen year old to say that they love vacationing to Las Vegas, but in my case I absolutely love it. There are so many fun activities to do I just can not get enough.
The small town of San Tan Valley is plagued with horrible traffic, and it has become an enormous burden to its residents. The town has three entrances however it seems that everyone has simultaneously chosen one of the entrances to bombard causing havoc. According, to Suburbstats.org, the population of San Tan Valley is 81,000 people. It is imperative that we choose are entrances wisely otherwise this madness will continue. I used pathos to persuade my audience, the residents of San Tan Valley, into making more strategic and beneficial choices on the roads to take on their local commute.
come to a complete stop. School buses have the same rules applied, they must come to a
Multimodal interventions focusing on multiple barriers of medication adherence have mostly shown improvements in medication adherence and reduced health care utilization. For instance, the Ashville projects that combined expanded medication therapy management (MTM) and disease management services, showed improved clinical outcomes and reduced overall costs in studies targeting commercially insured patients with diabetes, hypertension/dyslipidemia, or asthma.40-42 Similarly, Pringle and colleagues evaluated the impact of a large-scale, pharmacy-based intervention on five chronic medication classes and found that, compared to the control group, the intervention group had improved adherence for all medication classes.43 Zillich and colleagues
A study on the reliability of public transportation found that “long, heavily used bus lines on congested roadways are likely to have poor schedule reliability” (Levinson). Lower income areas tend to have a higher population density, which increases the congestion and overall reliability of busses (Levinson). Delays at the beginning of a bus route are then propagated to later stops creating further setbacks (Levinson). Bus operators have also been found skip certain stops, if they believe they are too dangerous (Levinson). Since poor people do tend to live in more treacherous areas, this further compounds their unequal transportation
The United States has continued to be a country where religion plays a major role in the lives of American citizens. Depending on the type of school students attend, organized prayer is mandatory, allowed, or banned. In the United States, organized prayer in public schools is prohibited because it goes against the Constitution’s separation of church and state (Jinkins 123). The United States promises religious freedom, but is yet to define the degree and limitation of that liberty. However, American citizens have been debating for many years, whether organized prayer should be an option or obligation in public schools. Some people believe that organized prayer or religious classes would be a benefit to young people and should be allowed
There is a huge problem happening on the tracks, the trolley's brakes have stopped functioning and is heading towards a bus full of 39 kids stuck on one side of the track, a car with 4 adults stuck on the other side of the track and a homeless obese man walking by.
Meta description: School bus scheduling is one of the important tasks. Proper scheduling keep student safe and secure throughout the journey. Let's have a glimpse on the relevance of it
Our rides happened to be the last two buses to arrive in the lane. Those eager to go home had it best; their assigned buses were waiting for them as soon as they walked out those double doors. On the other hand, we had to wait for all the buses to pull off the lane until the final two would pull in. I was never really eager to go home. The wait gave me a goal, and the whole school year to do something about it.

Members of the community may need to walk a longer distance if they stay in an area that is not near a bus route. The neighborhood I stay in has about six bus stops, all within a five to ten minute walk from my apartment. The bus stops offer little protection from adverse weather or even a bench to sit on while waiting for the bus. I can image the difficulties a person in poor health, a person caring for small children, or an older adult may have while waiting on a bus. According to the GTA website, only the most frequently used bus stops will have a bench and shelter for those waiting (Greensboro Transit Authority, 2017). While some stops are not the most accommodating, the bus does have a high tech feature that lowers the bus closer to the ground for the passengers that need extra assistance, and the front of the bus reserve seats for handicap passengers.
