The website provides insight into the treatment of Jewish pharmacists while the Nazi party ran Germany. Jewish pharmacists were just as qualified as non-Jews, and many of them owned their businesses outright. Nevertheless, because they were Jews and the Nazis were heavily concerned with eradicated and tormenting the Jews, Jewish pharmacists suffered as well. The specific time period that the article is concerned with is the mid 1930s in Germany. Apparently the Nazi influence and propaganda regarding Jewish pharmacies was negligible until Adolf Hitler came into power.

A requirement for becoming a Pharmacy Technician is to register with the State Board of Pharmacy, which means the state that you are located in you will have to register there. I order to be eligible for registering you must have a high school diploma showing proof that you have graduated, which is one of the requirements. You will have to get a background check including having your finger printed. Doing this shows that you have a clear background, and can be eligible in working in this type of field where you’re dealing with other people’s health life. The pharmacy technician is responsible for increasing the sustainability of the pharmacy. They do this by follows instructions for the disposal or return of expired, damaged, or otherwise unusable medications, and not flushing them down the toilet or throwing them into the trash. They follow EPA requirements. Pharmacy technicians can also join the Green Team at their place of employment, if they have one, and help improve the environmental impact they have that way as well. They also need to do their jobs counting and dispensing correctly to reduce the amount of medications that go unused.

To obtain your pharmacy technician license you have to complete a couple of things. Technically speaking, you do not need to attend a formal education program, but it is highly encouraged by the board and can help you obtain a job easier. The only training you need is on the job training as a pharmacy technician trainee, which you have to be designated as prior to training in a Texas licensed pharmacy. You can only be a trainee for two years, within those two years you need to have your registration completed for pharmacy technician license. To obtain your trainee status you need to be clear of all active warrants and have a good criminal background. Your background can affect you not being able to proceed

Studying at the West-Mec Pharmacy Technician program will eventually help me reach my long term goal of becoming a hospital pharmacist. This program will give me the benefit of hands-on training and will teach me the necessary skills that are required for a pharmacy technician. I want to have a career as a pharmacist in the future and I understand that becoming a pharmacy technician is not required, but it is a huge benefit. Pharmacists dispense medication and other remedies. They need to understand the importance of doses, allergens and other chemical reactions that may cause harm to the patients. The Pharmaceutical industry has been in the spotlight for decades due to the fact that they have a reputation for being unethical in its marketing strategies. In The Washington Post Shannon Brownlee (2008) states, “We try never to forget that medicine is for the people. It is not for the profits. The profits follow.” This honorable statement is completely lost in today’s world of pharmaceutical marketing tactics. These tactics are often deceptive and biased. Big Pharma consistently forgets their moral purpose and focuses primarily on the almighty dollar. Big Pharma is working on restoring their reputation by reforming their ethical code of conduct.

While most acquaintences my age were out partying and having a ball, I was working 12am to 8am on a dementia unit at the VA Hospital, as you may know working nights can make you extremely lazy, when all you do is sleep all day, the pay was great and that also makes you not want to start school or do something with your life, but I saw the bigger picture in a career. In our experience with Pharmasim we learned that Marketing decision making must be very sensitive and responsive to everything going on in the industry which is very complex. Consumer responses to marketing tactics can be volatile and unpredictable and no idea is guaranteed to work well. Marketing is a matter of meticulous research, assumptions, planning, and volatility at times. Overall we took away two major points: 1) that it is important to consider the product lifecycle in evaluating how to promote businesses and, 2) that the “Sweet Spot” as a competitive advantage should be the greatest point of consideration when evaluating how to best gain leverage to beat the competition in the minds of
