I am going to blatantly honest with you, Benjamin Radford makes discovering a possibility of a new species seem so boring. In all honesty I sometimes feel as if he takes his sweet time to get to the conclusion of his findings. Maybe it is because I hate scientific articles maybe it’s because I hate finding out that the goat sucker doesn’t really exist. I don’t know, but criticism of the book aside, there is not much you can say about how credible a source is when you are hunting down a cryptid. What chapter five and chapter six mostly consisted of was Radfords retelling of eyewitness encounters with the elusive beast. My biggest problem with this book is that Radford is looking for this creature but he’s doing it in a half ass job. To me it
Texas’ history with oil starts much earlier than the 1901 Spindletop gusher. As early as 1543, there were reports of natural oil seeps along the coast of Texas which was used as both medical treatments and caulking for boats by Spanish explorers (Wooster). In 1866, the first of Texas’ oil producing wells was drilled in Nacogdoches County, however the supply and profit was not high enough to justify further development. In 1895 in Corsicana, Texas there was a minor oil find that led to the creation of Texas’ first oil refinery in Nacogdoches, Texas. Another large oil find is the East Texas Oil Field which spans 140,000 acres and is considered to be the largest oil field in the United States (excluding Alaska); this oil field has produced over 5.2 billion barrels from its 30,340 historic and active oil wells (Smith).
Reconstruction of legislature In The Reconstruction Constitution of 1869, the House of Representatives had 90 members, and the senate had 30. The salary of the governor was increased by five thousand dollars a year; the senate terms were extended to six years and legislative sessions were held annually. This led to problems with the people, so this led to a new constitutional convention. As a result, the constitution of 1876 was created and is still the constitution in Texas today.
Texas is home to about 27 million people and continues to grow. Texas’s major public policy problem right now would be in infrastructure and can be fixed by compromise. There are two types of infrastructure which are economic and social. Infrastructure means those basic facilities and services which and facilitate different economic activities and thereby help in economic development of education, health, transport, communication, banking & insurance, irrigation, power, and etc.... There are two types of infrastructure which are economic and social. Infrastructure is the foundation upon which the Texas economy balances.
Texas has been a booming success in recent years, even weathering the Great Recession in 2007-2008. Employment growth and businesses moving to Texas because of its low taxes, pro-business environment, and limited government have contributed to Texas’s rise to the financial top. These are factors that should be considered when trying to improve the United States government and economic system. Author of The Texas Model: Prosperity in the Lone Star State and Lessons for America, seasoned political consultant, Chuck DeVore provides guidelines for the United States government to operate similarly to the ways of Texas government. DeVore has established his credibility with various political positions. He was a special assistant for foreign
Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (1929-1994), frequently publically referred to as Jackie Kennedy, or colloquially as Jackie O, was married to America's thirty-fifth President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917-1963, Pres. 1961-1963) and served as the nation's First Lady (1961-1963). In the post of First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy was preceded by Mamie Geneva Doud Eisenhower (1896-1979, First Lady 1953-1961) and succeeded by Claudia Taylor "Lady Bird" Johnson (1912-2007, First Lady 1963-1969). While favouring her privacy, Jacqueline was not noted for her involvement in political affairs, but instead was heralded as a fashion and cultural icon in the 1960s. In particular, she became known for her roles in initiating the restoration and preservation

Numerous bills have been proposed throughout the history and timeline of Texas. Though many bills have been introduced, only a few from the batch will proceed to the House and Senate committees for further speculation and debate. Bills do not instantly become laws over night. It could take weeks, months or perhaps years for a bill to become a law. There are processes and even sub-processes when reviewing a bill and determining whether or not it shall be passed. Public policymaking includes five important steps, which are agenda setting, policy formulation, policy adoption, policy implementation, and policy evaluation. With that being said, this essay will focus on Senate Bill 11 – the Texas bill that allowed individuals with a license to carry concealed handguns on campus and in campus buildings.

I think people are moving to Texas because there is a lot of business here, which meaning there is a lot of job opportunity. Because Texas is a free income taxes state it make business want come to Texas and open up shop in Texas. This was a very interesting article because I didn’t really think a lot for people want to move to Texas especially from California. This make you want to explore about what really makes to people what to move there and explore other counties like Harris, Bexar, and Travis, because that’s where most of the people come to Texas go and leave. I cant really agree or disagree with the article because I don’t really know much about the issue and I think this article was well
The History of Texas Texas history itself had its own amazing story. The small number of American settlers moved to the land of Texas had led to the dramatic war with the Mexicans. The land of Texas was used to be owned by Mexicans. Due to the argument between Texans and Mexicans caused the battle of San Jacinto and Mexican War. In long ago before American settlers moved to Texas, this place was so rich and an abundance of land.
The 1920s were an economic boom, but a majority of the country could not enjoy the wealth and prosperity. Only a small percentage of the country enjoyed huge sums of wealth, and the majority of families, about 3/4s, were poor and lived in poverty (“Great Depression”). These statistics are surprising considering the growth of consumerism and advertising of the time. Even though most of the country did not share the wealth, they still engaged in the consumerism and culture of the time. Products started to be mass-produced and therefore more affordable. A culture of buying the latest and greatest products developed. Advertisements tempted people, promising that their product would give them the life they wanted. In order to keep up with the new products and devices, poorer families spent a majority of their incomes on unnecessary consumer goods (“1920s Vintage Ads”). For the rich, the culture of consumerism was not a problem as they had plenty of money to spare; however, for the poor this culture was damaging. Many people took out loans to pay for things such as cars and houses, and this was an economic problem that contributed to the depression (“Great Depression”). Even though most people’s lives were difficult in the 1920s, people were still hopeful. They believed in the country, themselves, the economy, and the idea that consumerism could improve your life.
