There are many different colleges and universities that a student can choose if they want to pursue a career as a lawyer. There many schools in the south with phenomenal law programs, one being Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. Texas Southern University, better known as TSU, is a historically black public university that was founded on March 3, 1947. TSU is also a 4-year university with twelve different colleges and schools. There are many notable alumni such as Al Green, Barbara Jordan, and Michael Strahan. Before choosing Texas Southern University, students should know about the requirements to get into the university, majors related to law, and the cost of tuition. Just as any other college or university, there are admission requirements that you must meet before getting accepted into TSU. The University of Texas - Pan American has been in operation since 1927, when it opened its doors with an inaugural class of just 20 students. Last but not least, Texas A&M has a really great cost and financial aid program for students. The In-state tuition and fees were about 10,176 dollars while out-of-state tuition and fees were about 28,768 dollars. If I was an In-state student, this would have been a great opportunity not only because of the students life and academics but also because of the tuition fees. However since I am not an In-state student, the cost is pretty expensive.

Texas A&M University-Central Texas is active outside of Killeen Texas through its Study Abroad program. According to Ms. Wood, Assistant Director of Academic Support for the Office of Student Success at Texas A&M University-Central Texas (2016), TAMU-CT has participated in three Study Abroad trips since Ireland in 2014. She stated that TAMU-CT averages 15 Students per year for each trip. The Study Abroad trips are open to all students at TAMU-CT as elective classes.
