The topic of texting while driving has been thrown around for years and years. It all started when “smartphone” sales started increasing. However, the choice of texting while driving is not smart. Ever since phones became a priority in the world, many people can’t let go of them. This includes drivers, but what if they knew how deadly it was to remove your eyes from the road. I definitely think phones should be banned from use while driving because of multiple reasons. One being focus is taken off of the road and is on a small handheld device. Many people get into car accidents when driving, but now with the new technology the death rate in motor vehicle accidents has increased. I feel the need for a ban because I have experienced the effects first hand when We got into a car accident while my family member was on their phone.
Another reason there should be a ban is the number one death of all teens in America is motor vehicle accidents. Just by taking something as small as a phone away while driving could lessen the risk of deaths among newly drivers. Sure another factor in teen deaths is intoxication, however why should we be adding to the cause by not only smoking and drinking, but also a cell

Automobile crashes as a result of texting while driving is an epidemic that has taken over the nation in the past years. In today’s society, people have become more and more dependent on technology as everyday uses. How many can honestly say that they have text and driven? How many have had to swerve, stop on the brakes or almost gotten into an accident because of it? Texting while driving is the most common thing that almost everyone has done or seen. The main issue and threat is that people think they can safely type on their phone while driving; while others simply do not think there is any real danger with that act. Today, it is all about convenience; but the cost for this convenience can be very deadly. Studies show that any
Many people, mainly teenagers, text while driving and don’t think to consider the safety of themselves and others. Some teenagers, just like Chelsea in the Dr.Phil’s, film “Texting While Driving”, come into some near tragic experiences because of texting while driving and still don’t consider what they are doing a safety hazard. Chelsea stated that nothing can stop her from texting while driving. I’m sure she is not the only person who feels that way. Many people enjoy the convenience of texting while driving and that’s all they focus on. Most “texters” don’t look into the fact that if you’re giving the your phone attention, you aren’t giving the road your full attention and you are putting yourself and others at risk

There is 250 Million American who has a cell phone. Georgia house bill 23 would ban texting and talking drivers who are under 18 years old (Dickensheets N. Pag). Some people think that texting while driving should be unbanned because not everyone would be impaired when performing this task. However I think texting and driving should be banned because it costs too many injuries and death you see on TV and the news that are related to this.
Aristotle’s teachings in The Politics and the Constitution of Athens leads us down the path of his thought journey as he lectures on the ideal State and populace. Aristotle focuses in on the distinctions between different constitutions, or governments, in a major way in this grouping. These distinction are very important to his final ideal State. Going through the teachings one begins to wonder how one’s own constitution would be categorised by Aristotle. Aristotle would classify America as a constitutional democracy, or Polity, based on the original framing of the constitution as well as how our government stands today.
This includes the House Bill 1013 which went into effect back in October. It bans any driver of a motor vehicle to engage in text messaging. A few other states that ban the use of a cell phone while driving are Illinois, California, New York, and Indiana has a ban on any one under the age of 18.
If you value your life and others than why do we as great state allow texting and driving to be legal? I am student attending Cypress Woods High School who cares about the protection and safety of others. I believe driving while texting should be illegal and enforced strongly in the state of Texas because, throughout the years of an increase in crashes, injuries, and fatalities suggests that we need to stand up and resolve these careless catastrophes. Driving while texting is unfortunately becoming accustomed to our culture, which is very dangerous and in a single moment can result in a car becoming a deadly weapon causing horrendous damage to people’s lives. This growing problem, and national epidemic is quickly growing to one of the top nations

The adoption process domestically and internationally has been a huge topic of controversy for years. There are many reasons why couples, and even single people choose to adopt children. Some can’t have children of their own, and some are just determined to make the world better for at least one child. Foster parent take children in on a more temporary basis and help them through whatever situation they are in. Adoption as most people know is a permanent solution to the child
Mistakes like these can be avoided by ignoring the device just for the amount of time to get to the destination. A survey in 2011 by the Washington Post showed that 65.3% of all automobile accidents were preventable such as accidents committed under the influence or texting/calling and driving. Cellphones can wait while people drive ,because it is better to be out of social media or miss a call then to miss out on the rest of their lives. Sometimes accidents that occur are more devastating to other people than it is to the person who was using their phone. Such as killing the other people like toddlers and new born babies. Haunted by the fact that they could've prevented that accident if they just turned off their phone. The law ,that prevents the use of cellphones while driving ,helps people without a strong physical restraint from using their hand-held devices. The states that have made it illegal for people to use their hand-held devices realize the potential dangers that come from the phone distracting the driver from the road. The positive aspects from banning the use of cellphones while driving ,such as an increase in focusing on the road ,should convince everyone that this law should be implemented
You are driving through a green light when you look to the right and see a driver flying through a red light. Hitting you, causing your friend in the passenger seat to die on impact. Though the driver who hit you was texting while driving, the law declares the disaster an accident. At the end of most texting while driving accidents a person is injured or killed. Accidents occur due to a person multitasking therefore not giving their full attention to the road in front of them. There should be a ban against texting while driving as it will create a safer driving environment.
Lastly, cell phone use while driving should be banned because it can become dangerous for oneself as well as others on the road. Not only does cell phone use for drivers endanger other people, it endangers the life of the operator itself. Drivers can run off the road into trees, ditches, or poles; they may also run into other cars or drift into oncoming traffic. Using a cell phone while driving also puts other drivers on the road in danger; if a driver is texting, their eyes are on their phone and they may not see the car in front of them stopping, which will lead into a wreck that could injury someone.
