In Mexico, Dia de los Muertos is a celebration to honor the dead. This holiday was made for people struggle with losing loved ones, and celebrating it was found to be a good way to help them cope. Families can be seen in the cemetery bringing festive gifts to memorialize lost members.

The "Thanksgiving's Menus" are not ready. I am waiting on the DFACs to sends them to me. Therefore, I shall forward them to you to be uploaded into the print shop system. I sent out an email to the division's G4, requesting the menu, the CG's message and the chaplain's pray yesterday

You watch your favorite player all year long and now he is in the MVP race, you are all hyped, but what if he didn't win? Now that's why I'm here to explain you why Aaron Rodgers is the number one candidate for the NFL MVP. So, first I will be telling you his stats from the 2016 regular season. Then, we will compare those stats to the one of his previous MVP season in 2014. Finally, we will compare him to the other MVP candidates and explain why he should be the NFL MVP.

Hello everyone. I’m writing to share more details about the celebration of Lily’s life that will be taking place on Saturday. I would first like to disclose that there will be both a private service along with a public celebration/reception to follow, all of which will be held at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood. Directions can be found on the ‘about’ page of this event page. On another note, the private celebration will be broadcasted live on Facebook. During the live-stream you will be able to share your thoughts in real-time for Lily and her family. More details will soon be released on how to access the live broadcast. For those attending the celebration, please wear red or pink to honor Lily.

Today is the day that many of us have been waiting on all year, it’s Thanksgiving! As we gather around the table to appreciate our family, friends and the joy of a perfectly cooked turkey, after a plate or two the familiar feeling of sleepiness will try to convince us to take a nap, but why? Popular belief points to eating turkey as the culprit as it contains the amino acid tryptophan, one of the nutrients that make up the building blocks of chemicals in the brain that make us sleepy. However, according to Live Science, experts say that the real culprit is the large amount of carbohydrates and alcohol we consume on Thanksgiving, citing that turkey can’t compete with all of the amino acids to possibly have a huge impact on our drowsiness.

Anyone can eat soul food on any particular day of the year. However, it is something distinctive about preparing and eating soul food on Thanksgiving Day. Soul food is considered to be fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, breaded fried okra and yams. The preparation and consumption of soul food have been a staple in my family’s tradition for many generations. Perchance the food tastes better because of the cool crisp air, or maybe it’s the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. I honestly don’t know why, but I feel like this should be a paten scientific theory. Everything just feels right on this day, as if the world halts for a split second and it is at harmony. Possibly that is why the food is cooked to perfection. Even the process of preparing the meal is practically better than eating the food.

Thank you for the Thanksgiving dinner last night! That was a really great dinner. I enjoyed it a lot. Sorry for interrupting your conversation to go home early last night. I usually go to bed around 11 pm and wake up at 6:30, so 10 pm was a bit late for me. That was fun to learn how Chinese think about their government. I have some friends (and my first roommate) from there. A few of them are just like Pengcheng, knowing almost nothing about how the government works (especially those not coming from the coastline cities). But my friends from larger cities, like Wuhan or Beijing, prefer democracy better. They never use reasons like "China is too big to have democracy" to rebut the idea, and they often times complain about human rights in China

Thank you for replying with the grade break down. I see how a little bit of missing points here and there really adds up. I believe what hurt my grade the most were the homework writing assignments and in class participation points. Being a first-generation college student, my writing is not as strong as I would like it to be and it affected my class grade. Also, with the in-class participation points, I always had work right after class, so it was really hard for me to remember them like the bigger assignments.  I really would like to meet with you in January, however, I realize now I might have to rearrange my class schedule for next semester as quickly as possible. Before taking your class I was thinking about Business Management, but now I know for sure I want to major in it. The concern right now is that the criteria for the Business Management major requires a B- and I have a c+ in your class. I am 1.65 points away from reaching that B-. I would like to apply to the Business Management major in the summer, so I need to figure out if I need to take the class again or not Spring Semester. Being a low-income student, I would really, really prefer not having to pay to
