“The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”
Why I chose The 7 Habits
I chose the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R Covey for multiple reasons. Stephen Covey is not only an author but also a teacher, organizational consultant and is known as a family expert. He has also written multiple other books included “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families” and has a large family of his own with nine children. Convey got his Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard and also has his doctorate degree. Instantly I was inspired by Convey because I also want to have a large family and eventually earn my MBA. I find all of his achievements extremely impressive and his Habits trustworthy because he has been able to balance his personal and professional life while becoming a well know author. The book stood out to me on the book list because I have been struggling with time management and I thought learning about becoming more effective would really help me. The other reason I chose this book is because my dad had to read “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” in previous job he worked in. The entire finance department where my dad used to work was required to read this book so I knew that it must have some useful information and compelling lessons to take away.
