Summary
The administration has assignment me with creating a foundation for our new and promising hire, Jane Johnson. Jane Johnson is a young woman from a single-parent family who grew up on the Navajo reservation. She is bright and graduated with a 3.9 GPA from Amherst College. This is Ms. Johnson’s first job. As Ms. Johnson’s mentor I will develop a plan for her to be a successful in the organization.
I will use the six competencies of the results- driven goals as a guide for Mrs. Johnson. Starting with accountability, Jane will be assigned to hold not only herself, but others accountable for measurable, high quality, timely, and cost-effective results; determines objectives, sets priorities and delegates work; accepts responsibility for mistakes; complies with established control systems and rules. In example, Jane shall be present and punctual to work and various meetings throughout the work day. Jane should conduct herself professionally and courteously to employees and the people our organization serves. Jane should keep a level of integrity and remind other staff to do the same should she witness a lack of it in the work place. As a new hire Jane may not have initial authority but anyone can delegate acceptable behavioral for creating a non-hostile work environment and promoting good order and discipline.
