Abstract – The growth of population now a day is resulting in immense pressure on healthcare service. Population residing in remote areas such as villages are devoid of good health check-up facility. Therefore it is utmost necessary that to make it accessible to them. A basic Wireless Body Sensor Network (WBSN) consisting of sensors that can collect the physiological data of a person is used for this purpose. The collected data is then transported to the doctors for its analysis, which can be efficiently done using VANETs. In addition to that, data can be automatically analysed by smart vehicles to check for emergency situations. In such case any nearby health service can be contacted and rushed to the patient. An analysis of the various architectures for this purpose is done in this paper and pros and cons are investigated to enlighten the future research.

VANET integrates on multiple ad-hoc networking technologies such as Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11), WiMAX (IEEE 802.16), Bluetooth, ZigBee etc. for easy, accurate, effective and simple communication between vehicles on dynamic mobility. In the past decade, VANET research has addressed all the layers, physical to application to support the design of new possible applications for the society. VANET is an appropriate network that can be used in intelligent transportation systems and in many social
