I work as a Data Analytics Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP (EY), a management-consulting firm. And within EY, I work in the Advisory practice. Within the Advisory practice we focus on helping our clients in three distinct areas:

Overall after reading the text InternQube: Professional Skills for the Workplace, this text was very useful as well as interesting. I was able to get a better understanding on what type of mindset I should have going into the workplace every day. This includes daily goals and routines, the way I should professional dress, how I should conduct myself on a professional level in front of people of higher status. InternQube was excellent for my first couple weeks at my internship Stenton Family Manor. First I was able to write up daily work objectives to what I needed to get done for the day. These objectives consist of work practices that would better help me in my field of management. I develop questions for myself such as, what does it take

When deploying new products into an organization that contain elements you do no have experience with, like new technology, considered the human factors in the implementation process to reduce issues that may arise. When implementing new technology within a company, make sure that end users contribute into the design process and that the end user will benefit from the change. Managers should communicate constantly and effectively, involve employees, and leadership to endorse the technology and the change process.

Abstract: As I look back on my internship at Clayton State University, I am supremely thankful for the experience. I entered this with three main learning objectives: to learn and experience the operation of an enterprise IT infrastructure, to learn and experience enterprise database administration, and to learn and experience enterprise networking. Nine since the commencement of this internship, I can say with confidence that I have met my goals. Leading up to this, I feel like my past experiences have prepared me. Though I did not know everything, I used what I previously learned. The tasks and projects given to me allowed me to become part of an organization. Furthermore, having the opportunity to sit one-on-one with multiple people in the department expanded my palate within the spectrum of IT. All in all, this was a successful, beneficial experience.

Understanding how things work, taking it apart through analysis and then re-assembling the whole from its parts is what captivates me. It has been clear now for some time that engineering is what I want to do in later life and this combination of inquisitiveness, together with an analytical mind and a feel for basic engineering is why I want to study this subject at university. At college I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering which I am enjoying and excelling at in the subject. My time at college is helping me to gain more confidence in my academic ability. Teachers constantly challenge me to achieve more and set my goals high.

The panel addressed their internship experiences and how it has affected them along their career. It is now March and I have been at my internship for two months and I cannot begin to discuss how much information that I have obtained. Every day I learn something new or a new tactic of tackling an issue with a client. I truly feel that everything that I have learned I can apply to functional practice. The GIM model allow me to gain knowledge on a client and together we can find a way to aid the situation. I am literally looking onto someone’s life and assessing issues that are taking place in their life journey.

PYB has had a history of workers suffering of a work-related injury at work and not returning to work for an elongated amount of time. This accredited to their high 1.60 mod and not a program to incentive workers to return back to work.
