Immigration has made the U.S.A poplar in many ways. For example, Immigration made people to from all race to come together and be in one place. It also made people to understand each other's in different ways. Finally, it brings humans closer together and to learn about each other's cultures. And it's also fun and enjoyable to see people with different color/race to be together.

Although Ender and Santiago's stories were not alike, they both shared the attributes of a hero's journey, like the call and the mentor stages. In the book Ender's game, Ender demonstrates attributes of a hero's journey, one of which, is the mentor stage. Colonel Graff realized early on in the book that Ender was special. The quote took place towards the end, when it became more and more obvious that Ender was the one.

“The Alchemist” is a novel written by Paulo Coelho in 1988. Regarded as Coelho’s best novel, it captures the elixir of life through the view of a sanguine Spanish Shepard. Set in a forsaken church in Spain at night; the young Shepard Santiago tastes the exquisite sensation of a compelling dream. He dreams that a young lad tells him about a hidden treasure nigh the Egyptian pyramids. After the dream relapses more than once, Santiago opts to confer an old man and an old woman who tell him that his dream is oracular and that he must abide by its directions. Santiago then decides to pursue his vision and sets off on the venture of a lifetime with a set purpose of locating the fortune hidden near the Egyptian pyramids. In the course of his quest, he meets several people who act as figures that succor him and elevate his experience. As well, he comes into contact with the diversity of human emotions, as he experiences sorrow, pain, elation, agitation and love. Some may refer to The Alchemist as a best-selling novel written by Paulo Coelho which explains the ideas of having a dream, or Personal Legend, and going through obstacles to conquer it. The book starts off like any other, introducing and describing the main characters, in this case Santiago is the first to share the interest of peers reading the story. He is said to be a small town shepherd boy who will do anything for his flock of sheep. In the opening scene of the story, Santiago takes his flock to an abandoned church and lies down under a sycamore tree hoping to get some rest. He is soon woken up from a disturbing dream which foreshadows further into the story of his own Personal Legend. Later in the book, Santiago is faced with multiple tests to be successful in finding his treasure. “Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure” (Coelho 15). Paulo continues to add characters in the book that help Santiago throughout his journey.

The Alchemist written by Paulo Coelho, is an inspirational masterpiece filled with life lessons. It is a story about a young shepherd boy named Santiago who has a dream about treasure by the pyramids. Santiago meets an old king who gives him advice and sets Santiago on his journey that would lead him to fulfill his Personal Legend. Santiago learns many life lessons along the way, finds love, and perseveres to find his treasure. Throughout Santiago’s adventure Paulo Coelho focuses on several main themes for readers to learn from his book.

The question which will be attempted to answer is, What literary element does Paulo Coelho us to develop the theme that in life everyone has a personal destiny which they all have to pursue when they get the chance, in the novel The Alchemist. Paulo Coelho conveys the central theme of pursuing your own destiny through the use of allusions, in how they affect the protagonist Santiago with his encounters in the desert on the search for his treasure.

INP Essay: In the novel The Alchemist, written by Paulo Coelho, the author reveals the character through his journey to find his destiny in the deserts of Egypt. Santiago, the main character, is a shepherd herder that leaves what he knows to achieve his dreams and find his purpose. Santiago then finds that his journey to find himself is dangerous and longer than he expected. Santiago, a very curious man, continues to ask about his heart in the beginning of this passage.

Although this seems like a small change, he jumps out of a small and comforting life and continues forward on his journey and becomes more brave and resilient. Santiago's transformation from a simple shepherd is the first big change I saw in the book.

Through his journey, Santiago represents the search for fulfillment and the discovery of one’s purpose. Santiago starts as a boring shepherd’s boy, comfortable with his existence and life. Then at the end turns into an alchemist who understands the language of the world. Santiago gained great knowledge about the connectedness of all things, the importance of courage in adversity, and the fulfillment that comes with achieving and chasing your dreams. His transformation and journey are a reminder that living and chasing one’s personal legend takes more than what you thought was possible.

The alchemist is a well written book that accurately describes every concept about life and explains it through a story. The Alchemist is a book about a shepherd named Santiago, who discovers his personal legend and receives help from others to help achieve his Personal Legend and learns many major life lessons along the way. Santiago gets advice that when life puts him down, keep getting back up and to focus on the task at hand, which is Santiago’s own personal legend. Along the the journey, Santiago receives help from many different characters but only three characters who helped him the most throughout his quest for his Personal legend is the alchemist, the Old King and the Englishman. The best advice a reader is able to gain from this story is the advice the the Old King taught Santiago, which is” there is only one thing that makes achieving a dream impossible to achieve, the fear of failure” which means is to never be afraid of failures and to follow your own path God has laid out for you because if you are too afraid to pursue your personal legend, meaning if people are too afraid to take risks to make their own life better than it already is now, then they will not have the opportunity to accomplish their own goals. In Coelho's The Alchemist, Santiago learns the Soul of the World through experience, patience, time and help from the Old King, the Englishman and the alchemist.

The story of the alchemist is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of a treasure buried in the Pyramids. Focusing on fulfilling our own Personal Legend, Coelho encourages his reader to follow their dreams and the importance of listening to our hearts. Everyone has their own Personal Legend, their ultimate goal in life, but many of us never pursue it.

The book The Alchemist was about a young man named Santiago who followed his dream to discover a hidden treasure. As Santiago progressed throughout his journey, his character changed a lot. Santiago, a man who has great instincts, is afraid to trust his dream at the beginning of the book but over time becomes more and more confident with his choices in in this aspect he changes from the beginning of the book to the end.

The book tells a story of a shepherd boy, who owns a herd of sheep. His name is Santiago. In his sleep, he has dreamt a dream at two occasions that he needs to go to the pyramids of Egypt to find treasures.

My ethical issue with population growth in the future stems from the fact that rising population could in fact reduce our quality of life. The effect of the world’s overpopulation can be devastating. Some factors that reduce the natural resources that feed, water, and give us shelter. These resources give us a desired quality of life. It also sustains life.
