I put a lot of time thinking about who I wanted to interview for this assignment. Not only did I want to network with other individuals on campus, I also wanted to learn about their everyday experiences. I interviewed Schelzia Ross, who is the Associate Director of TRIO at UW-Waukesha. I chose to interview Schelzia because she works with a specific population of students that I am interested in, first generation.

With a few words of encouragement, I finally entered the building where the event was taking place – the Fine Arts Building auditorium. Once inside, each of the hundreds of freshmen were handed a bag containing pamphlets and informational documents before being told to sit in any seat they

With the assistance of professors Steven Moskowitz and Joseph Richards, I am pushed to expand my skills in marketing by beginning work with companies in the neighboring area. These new and ongoing positions have given me a broader outlook of the trade industry and what situations I will meet and overcome in my long-term career.
