The purpose of mobile technology is to store and transmit information on the go. The Apple IPad is an excellent example of mobile technology. The IPad and other tablet devices are useful for teaching students outside of the computer lab. Tablets can be a very useful tool. They offer a sufficient amount of processing power and the are rather easy to carry. For some people, they are even able to replace sound and image editing software used on desktop computers. However, tablets have a few downsides.
