Since the Dawn of Humanity, countless wars have emerged out from the face of the Earth. Bickering tribes fought, clans crushed their rivals, great kingdoms rose against each other, and nations invaded one another. While some of the blood spilled are proven to be inevitable, many of the wars were completely unnecessary. A third of the trees of the world would burn up, and all the green grass would burn up. (Revelation). Killing most of the natural inhabitants in the process. Water bodies would get radiated by the sparks of the explosions. The waters of the Earth could no longer be the source of hydration to all creatures. And all regions of the Earth would suffer from a single, temporary season - a scorching, radioactive desert summer (Great) - or a fallout.
There would be no more D.C or Moscow, only barren wasteland with the ruins of the old world.
This is but the beginning of the worst; the first nightmare of the night. In addition to the destruction of environment, the upcoming war would paralyze humans’ civilizations and destroy their political pillars. The nations, even the strongest among all, would all be plunged into a state of bankruptcy and disorder. If some of the neutral countries are spared from the bombs, their economics would collapse too in the ensuing conflict. International relations and trading would stop and smaller-scale wars would arise over the thinning resources.
Insecure crowds of people would form riots and cause chaos all over the place. More violence would occur and blood would be spilled. Civil wars would then divide those nations into smaller, more unstable nations. There’s no saying what other things would happen next. Perhaps,

There are many nuclear bombing tests that happen throughout each year and it’s extremely unhealthy for the environment let alone if a nuclear war happened. According to scientists, even if a small percentage of the worlds nuclear bombs were set off during a war, it would have an extremely devastating effect on humanity (Jha). When President Truman authorized the use of two nuclear weapons in 1945 against the Japanese in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end World War II, the nature of international security was changed irreversibly. At that time, the United States had what was said to have a monopoly of atomic bombs. Soon thereafter, the Soviet Union began working on atomic weaponry. In 1949, it had already detonated it first atomic bomb and tensions began to heat up between the two countries. With the information that the Soviets had tested their first bomb, the United States began work on more powerful weapons1, and a fight for nuclear superiority had begun.
Almost 70 years has being passed since the last world war was declared its end. These days, it is said that if the third world war is occurred in the current world, it should be a total warfare with nuclear weapons (Gunn, 2004:70). In general the World War II (WWII) is often considered as a case of total war; now, there can be a question about the existence of total war in the world history.
“The Evil Empire” — that is what, at the height of the arms race, United States President Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union (Rudolph 1). Unsurprisingly, the Soviet Union was similarly upset at the United States. This anger is what fueled the arms race. During the Cold War, due to fears of nuclear attack, the US and Soviet Union designed and deployed thousands of nuclear warheads, each hoping to deter the other from nuclear launch with threat of counter attack (O’Neal 1). This massive arms buildup, however, had many negative effects on the US. To recognize the impact that the arms race continues to have on today, it is crucial to understand not only its causes, but also its immediate impacts on the US economy, society, foreign
Dating to the beginning of civilization, war continues to be a repeating occurrence in the world whether it be with oneself, society, or the outside influences in the world. In terms of war between countries, there is the growing controversy over its utilization and purpose when a country is predisposed to a situation foreboding unavoidable conflict. War is the only solution to certain situations but cannot be considered a panacea to all the issues prevalent in the world. The reasoning behind this is that war produces consequences some of which that are permanent. War has always spawn more conflict, gives disfigurement to human bodies, death and occasionally affects the state of one’s mind in areas such as mentality, emotions, rationality

“There are currently 26,000 nuclear weapons in the world which is enough to destroy the entire human civilization twice” (Time for Change). The United States and Russia own 95% of them. Currently there are nine countries that obtain nukes: (US, Russia, India, China, UK, France, Israel, Pakistan, and North Korea). Before the production of nuclear weapons, war could be fought normally, could be conducted with an acceptable cost to the victor. Since most of the actual war could be fought and won on enemy grounds. After all, with the appearance of nuclear weapons and the dread of mutually assured destruction, wars happening now days are less likely to happen, because they would cause incomprehensible destruction to both the victor and the loser. Any perceived benefits of war are compensated by the possibility of astronomic costs. Serious-mindedness Nuclear weapons have assured our security for some time.
much chaos; no one would think that the youth of our times could embody so much hatred.
In every war fought throughout the history of mankind, the dependence on weapons was highly sought after. From swords to guns, weaponry has progressed throughout the ages with each war fought. No other war has seen more advances in weaponry than World War II. Many of those advances made this war focused on artillery, land vehicles, naval ships and aircraft. These advances, although beneficial, have also led to more bloodshed on the battlefield because they can do a lot more damage than their previous versions. Understanding these advances helped the Allied Powers win over the Axis in many battles, but both sides contributed many advances in weaponry.

This was known as the Cold War where after WWII, citizens of the world witnessed the potential of the atomic bomb and feared the possibility of nuclear fallout or total annihilation of the Earth. They fought to spread the ideals of either a free democratic, capitalistic society or a controlled socialist, communist society. After a 45 year struggle from 1945-1991, the Cold War came to an end due to the fall of the Soviet Union. It was inevitable due to the fact during the last few years of the war, the USSR face internal domestic problems such as their financial/economic situation, failed political reforms, and revolution throughout the Union itself. The causes to the collapse of the Union not only affected them but affected the world to present day.
