CONSTITUTION PAPER By: Shian Connor The Constitution is one of the most important documents in the history of America. The Constitution is “a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.” The Constitution was formed and written between May 25 and September 17 of the year 1787. However, it was officially signed on September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia. Not only did the Constitution establish a national government but also fundamental laws. It made sure that the people had basic rights. The Constitution included many things such as The Bill of Rights, Branches of Government, also was the reason that the Constitutional Convention was held.…show more content…
They also believed that they didn’t have a “efficient government.” The name of America began to get insulted because of how bad the economy was doing. The ships started to rot in the harbors. The people were very sad because they worked very hard and had very little rights and freedom. Farmers and many others began complaining about their rights and what was going on within the country. These people wanted the Constitution so they could get rights and were required freedom. Why did people/anti-federalist not want the Constitution to be published? Many people didn’t want the Constitution to be published because (in article 4) Patrick Henry states that the Constitution would put the rights of the power in danger. Not only that but it would also cause the states to no longer have power. (In article 5) Singletree concluded that the Constitution would make the uneducated people useless because the educational people would be doing all the work. Lastly, (in document 2) Warren states that there was no way to prevent a political office from stay in the hands of life. He also stated that that there was no system in the system for the rights of liberties of the people. What’s the Preamble? What does it do? The preamble is the introduction to the Constitution. It starts out by saying that the people wanted a flawless Union however, the only way to do this was that they had to have Justice, common defense, general Welfare, tranquility and liberty of yourself
