World war 1 was one of the worst wars throughout history. Most people say that the assassination of Franz Ferdinand was the main cause of the war, but there were several other factors leading to the war. Nationalism, militarism, imperialism was building up between nations in Europe until the assassination where all of the nations started to take sides. The two sides were called the Central Powers and the Allies. The central powers that were Germany, Austria Hungary, and other nations took Austria Hungary’s side while the allies that were Britain, France, Russia, and other nations took the side of Serbia.
