In 2008, I learned some exciting news that I was going to go on a cruise. A cruise is a new experience for me and I was ready to go on it. We were going to St. Martin in the Bahamas, we would leave Kansas City and get on a boat at Cape Canaveral which was by Kennedy space center. Me, my grandparents, parents, aunt, uncle and my great grandparents were all going on the trip. This trip ended up being the funnest trip in my life.
First, we had to go to the airport which was Kci. We had all of our luggage packed and we were ready to get to Florida so we can get on the boat. Before we even think about getting on the boat we have to take a plane to Florida. The plane ride took four hours but the time flew by with the things we did on the plane,

The ship let us have one more breakfast and then we had to get off the ship which I thought was kind of sad because the whole trip went by really fast because I had so much fun. The last thing i ate on the ship was eggs, bacon and pancakes and then we had to get off so we went to get our stuff and then we left. The next thing that happened was we were taken to the plane and we got on and it was very dark outside and I think it was 8:00 or 8:30 when we sat down on the plane and we were all very tired so I told my mom and stepdad “I am going to sleep” and they did too. I woke up after a long nap which the plane landed and it was time to get off and we then went to our cars and we got in and went home. When we got home we had to unpack all of the items that we took on the trip. After all of that we were happy we got home and we finally got to relax. ‘The trip was the funnest moment in my life” is what I told my mom because it really was the funnest moment in my life so far. “I hope i go on another cruise someday” is the first thing I thought when I got home and if I go on another one then I hope it will be as fun and exciting as this
The days were spectacular, always sunny the deck was very fun to walk around and the meals were good as well. I was traveling third class with my eldest sister Mae she was 21 years old I was 15. Our Mother had bought us tickets to ride on the Titanic to America for a better life and enough time for us to start over. Our Mother gave us most of her life savings and leaving her was one of the hardest things me and my sister have ever had to do, we knew it would be the last time we ever saw her. I will never forget her last words to us “I love you both so much I want you to remember that your mother did everything she could to give you guys a good life. You will be in my thoughts everyday I can’t wait until you guys succeed in the ways I know you can.” After that she sent us onto the boat Mae and I couldn’t help but tear up a bit until we realized that she had every intention for us to be happy, so we decided we’d enjoy the
I`ve been on planes, cars, and many things in my life but I have never been on a cruise, and on this Alaskan Cruise I was able to try new things. In our ship they had swimming pools, ping pong tables, casinos, and a extraordinary ice cream bar. One of my favorite parts of this trip was holding two baby sled dogs that were two weeks old. I also liked kayaking, plus I shared a kayak with my sister, Mia, and I controlled the kayak from the back. After that my family and I went on a bus ride to see caribou, bears, and glaciers. I also went on a hike and float with the Kendal`s (who are my cousins), because there daughter Annie was sleepy. I saw cool trees and fascinating wildlife. I even was allowed to eat berries that tasted like watermelon, but
A private yacht charter in the Bahamas is the ideal way to vacation on the water. Cruise ships may be nice for some people, but I couldn't imagine the lack of privacy or control over my own schedule. Private yacht charters allow you to make your holiday truly yours, and you are not at the mercy of a staff that must cater to hundreds of others passengers. The peace and beauty of the Bahamas is better appreciated on a private yacht rather than a crowded cruise ship surrounded by strangers.
The Bahamas average temperature in the summer is 75.f. Also the average in the winter is 21.c. It rains a lot in the Bahamas, it rains 1497 millimeters a year. ANd it has 4 seasons.
The island of Jamaica is very rich in culture and has many historic turnabouts throughout the years. The country has a rich and complex history including being the first country to have Arawak and Taino Indians settle there.

It also is the third largest island in the Caribbean it has pretty blue mountains and the people are really nice. Jamaica is a very pretty tropical island. The houses on the island are nice and pretty on top of the mountains. It has nice sunshine in the morning and afternoon and they have nice rain forests too. You feel a good cold breeze on the sandy beaches on the island if you walk closer to the blue water coming up on your legs and feet. Jamaica has a rich island culture.
I chose Jamaican Jews because there are few Jews living in Jamaica today but hundreds of years ago their were many Jews living there and many of Jews that live in Canada today, have ancestors leading back to Jamaica. Today the estimated total population of Jews living in Jamaica is between 200-424,000. This essay will discuss the pull factors that influenced Jewish immigration to Jamaica, how they organized and the push factors that caused them to leave from the time the first Jews came to Jamaica in 1494-1655 until today.

Jamaica is a beauty Island nation in the Caribbean seas. It is popular as a tropical vacation destination spot. Many people are lured to this island because of it beaches, weather, and food. As a Miamian many of my friends and neighbors know Jamaica as home. The food and culture has been integrated in this melting pot called Miami. I could remember very earlier in my life trying to cook some authentic Jamaican food. Jamaican food is very rich in seasoning, spices, and flavor. The Caribbean was the second week of international cuisine production class. I was most excited for that week because it’s the part of international cuisine I am most familiar. The country itself has many outside influences that make the food and culture what it is today.
On a cold wintery 10 degrees day in December Blaize decided he was going to go on a cruise ship with his friends to the Bahamas where the weather has been 75-80 degrees . Blaize and his friends Seth, Matt, Leonard, and Cameron all enjoy many of the same things. The cruise was to visit the Bahama islands and Cuba. On our way to the Bahamas we went through some extremely rough waters. The captain came over the loudspeaker and we were all told to “go to your rooms and stay in them until told otherwise” in a firm frightened voice. We all thought, “why, what is happening but we did as we were told. After sitting in our room for over an hour Seth, Cameron, Leonard, Matt, came up with the idea to explore the ship. When we opened the
The Bahamas is known for its warm sunshine, perfect climate, and pristine beaches with crystal clear water lapping at the shores. It is one of the most popular and beautiful tourist destinations in the world and attracts thousands of travelers every year. Columbus discovered Jamaica on May 5, 1494, one year after he heard of the existence of the island. However, the true history of Jamaica begins with the African-Jamaican people who came to the island twenty years after the English took control from the Spaniards. The history of Jamaica can be broken up into different time periods, which were defined by watershed moments or events. Jamaican history begins with the establishment of the native islanders called the Tainos who inhabited the island for hundreds of years before the discoveries of Columbus. (JNHT 1)
As far as I can recall my existing knowledge from kindergarten to high school, Columbus has always been described as a heroic figure who overcame countless obstacles fearlessly and finally found the “New World.” For a long time, there were numerous authors, poets, and painters praising Columbus’s legendary journey and his extraordinary contribution to mankind. However, after reading “The Discovery of the Bahamas,” the sailing logs written by Columbus, I figured that Columbus may not be such a man who is worthy of all the praises. There are two literary works related to the subjects. The painting, “Christopher Columbus at the royal court of Spain,” was created in 1884 by Václav Brožík, and depicts Columbus requesting, from Queen Isabella, King Ferdinand and groups of courtiers, funding for additional voyages. The poem, “Prayer of Columbus,” written by Walt Whitman in 1874, expresses Columbus’s praise of God for all his achievements, believing that God would still be on his side even though he had been through all the sufferings. While Brožík’s painting creates imagery, directly expressing Columbus’s ambition by his posture, and implied Spaniards’ eagerness of power and building empires with the reactions of Queen Isabella I and Ferdinand V and a gathering of courtiers, Whitman employs repetition and religious iconography to create a sharp contrast between Columbus’s fearless, unconquerable mind in his early life and his helplessness at the end of his last voyage.
