In comparison, the original has a more traditional sound, while the 1964 version is more harmonized, and formed in a musical way. It was renamed “The Bandit” in The Shadow’s rendition of Mulher Rendeira. It is widely believed that the English translation is originally written by Michael Carr and John Turner. Instead of using the original text, (Hey, Lacemaker woman), “I’m the quickest on the trigger, when I shoot I shoot to kill.” is used as the first phrase. Basically it was totally rewritten, and all the meanings were changed. In the original composition, it had a “puzzle” type of style, by taking the chorus, or any of the other parts of the song and putting it together. It was originally also very short in length, while the 1962 version
The two stories, “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, and “Lobo: the King of Currumpaw” by Ernest Thompson Seton, both have two characters with major similarities and differences. Lobo, was a fierce and skilled wolf who worked his way around traps and obstacles that tried to capture him. On the other hand, General Zaroff was a vicious antagonist. Zaroff is in a life threatening game with another serious hunter, Rainsford. The two characters (Zaroff & Lobo) show a resemblance to each other and share differences.
The White Company, and some frontier countrymen decided to try to take the cold harsh Chadwick Island. They met a few Hudson Bay Company men on Chadwick Island. This group of people, is the Allied Forces. The Allied Forces, decided to try to take a fort from The Brightstone Bandits there was about ten of them. The Allied Forces started walking through a harsh dangerous blizzard, on a icy river. There was only few cold bodies of water left on Chadwick Island. They made it across the many icy lakes and rivers of this island. Chadwick Island was as cold as space. On Chadwick Island it was almost impossible to see due to the dense, thick,
There were also changes in who sang what song. For example, “Those Magic Changes” is being played as background music for them to be dancing and in the live performance, it is being sung by a T-bird, Doody. In the film, “Freddy My Love” is played on the jukebox and in the live version it was sung by the Pink Ladies. This was done because it would create a more intimate moment with the audience watching. The live performance also includes a new solo for Frenchie to demonstrate her
I’ve recently watched a film in my English class you starred in called Trumbo. For this type of historical film, even as a teenager, it was truly enjoyable. At first, I didn’t think that it would appeal to me as much as it did. You’re a remarkable actor and I have always admired your work! The political aspect of the film definitely drew me in and made it more pleasant to watch. Not knowing anything about McCarthyism at the time made the film a bit confusing at first, but I gradually began to fully understand it. I liked the film because it shows the character’s tone as well as essence throughout the film.
However, the song and quotes are somewhat different. First of all, the song was planned over a period of many days, although
To start things off, we will discuss the similarities. There are three that jump right off the page: one, both these songs were first released in the third album of the respective artists; two, both songs were released in the 1960s decade; and three, both songs were formatted along 7" diameter i.e. both were phonograph records.
Both the Kingston Trio and the song were extremely popular and moved folk music to different heights. Starting with how folk music came to be, there were folklorists. These people traveled across the nation to “document musical styles of many communities.” Then came the idea of anthology.
“The Gold Rush” starring Charlie Chaplin and “The General” starring Buster Keaton show significant talent in their comedic films using stunts and effects that keep the audience engaged as they are watching. Being that both are a silent film, they share many similarities and differences from a narrative, style, and mis-en-scene perspective. With these similarities and differences to comedy, it gives both their films individuality and significance. In “The General”, Keaton chooses to plot the story with a character trying to win over a girl. That same plot was used in “The Gold Rush” when Chaplin’s character tried to win over a girl’s heart by going through a wild, comedic adventure.
Let's start with the obvious they are both made by the same person Woody Guthrie. Next, they both are trying to state the point that no matter your shape, size, color or race we all created equal. One other way that they are similar is they are both trying to state the same point that he will not quit! Another way that they are the same is they are both trying to make you take pride in yourself and in your work. He said it himself, “I am out to sing songs that will prove to you that this is your world and that if it has hit you pretty hard and knocked you for a dozen loops, no matter what color, what size you are, how you are built, I am out to sing the songs that make you take pride in yourself and in your work.
“The Sniper” and “The Most Dangerous” Game are both different stories, written by different authors. Liam O’Flaherty is the author of “The Sniper”. He was born on one of Ireland’s Aran Islands, in a large family. Since the Aran Islands have a tradition of oral storytelling, Liam O’Flaherty’s house was full of different kinds of stories. He also wrote about Irish peasant life and captured the struggles of the Irish Civil War. His best known novel is “The Informal”, and it talks about a betrayal set during the Irish Troubles.
The next song, “Oopsey Daisey My Sweetheart” was the piece that Dr. Carol Williams wrote. I liked the melodies and harmonies overall. It was very interesting music piece. I wish I could get a contact with her and wanted to ask a few questions about this piece of music. Also the singer, Martha Jane Weaver, sang this song great that both the singer, write of the music, and the player received a great attention from the audiences.
As this was a cover version, King probably intended for there to be a specific focus on guitar improvisation, as there are 3 different solo sections in the song.
These preexisting sounds make this song sound alien to the music from today; as a result, the music ends up reminding the listener of similar music from the 1960s. For instance, the drum beat throughout the song “Be My Baby” hits only on the fourth beat which is primarily heard in Latin music. This gives the beat more pull whenever the snare beat finally comes around, as opposed to the snare being hit on the second and fourth beat. Furthermore, the castanets played throughout this song sound very Latin. In our age of electronic music, we typically use other electronic sounds in the background take the place of castanets.
Job analysis is a fundamental part of the practice of industrial/organizational psychology. Analyzing a job involves the determination of what tasks make up a job, the tasks’ relative importance, and what knowledge, skills, and abilities are necessary to successfully carry out those tasks. Job analysis results may be utilized for a variety of personnel management purposes but are especially important for selection and promotional decisions. Job analysis is undertaken prior to selection and
Composite materials are multiphase materials obtained through the artificial combination of different materials in order to attain properties that the individual components by themselves cannot attain. They are not multiphase materials in which the different phases are formed naturally by reactions, phase transformations, or other phenomena. An example is carbon fiber reinforced polymer. Composite materials should be distinguished from alloys, which can comprise two more components but are formed naturally through processes such as casting. Composite materials can be tailored for various properties by appropriately choosing their components, their proportions, their distributions, their morphologies, their degrees of crystallinity, their crystallographic textures, as well as the structure and composition of the interface between components. Due to this strong tailor ability, composite materials can be designed to satisfy the needs of
