My Personal Music Inspiration When asked about which group I find to be most influential to me, I find myself puzzled. I can not settle on one particular group that I can listen to constantly without growing tired of. In applying some critical thought about respect for a particular group, the list does narrow. With worthy points such as audience reach, culture change, and extent of a musical career, there is one particular group that impresses me the most. I find The Beatles to be most the influential to not only myself as a musician, but also, to many contemporary artists, as well as people not in the music business.

To their surprise, five thousand screaming fans were waiting for them at the airport when they exited the airplane. They were originally there to make an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, however that experience evolved into a commercially successful giant that still echoes today, being fifty years later. From there, a string of chart topping albums emerged such as A Hard Day 's Night, Beatles For Sale, Help!, and Rubber Soul.3 In April of 1965, The Beatles held the top five places on the American singles pop charts. By 1967, The Beatles style took a curve, when they started admitting the use of drugs during their song writing and recording. At that point they refused to tour and play live concerts because the screaming was too loud. This also gave them inspiration to radically experiment with studio effects in their newer songs. Their newer style of recordings were still extremely successful. Examples of songs would include Sgt Pepper 's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds. However, this was near the end of a short lived legacy. The band sensed a telling sign when their manager died of an overdose. By the end of 1970, the band was officially "disbanded" by Paul McCartney.4
