Cloud computing offers services to users based on on-demand self-service, broad network access, measured service, resource pooling and rapid elasticity; These characteristics promise a faster time for implementation, lower cost, superior scalability and a better end user satisfaction. These services are delivered in models known as Software As A service (SaaS), Platform As A Service (PAAS), and Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS). The first layer which is the Software As A service (SaaS) is the layer in which software applications are delivered to end users. Below is the Platform As A Service (PAAS) layer which offers a platform on which applications can be developed. The lowest layer is the Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) layer, in this layer the physical servers and network infrastructure is offered as a service. These services can be deployed throughout the internet (Public Cloud Computing), on the intranet infrastructure, (Private Cloud Computing), in a shared community of private networks (Community Cloud Computing), or a hybrid of both (Hybrid Cloud Computing). The service deployment models are [8]:
A hybrid Cloud Deployment model with a combination of Public, Private and Community models will be used. The Cloud Service Delivery model will be a combination of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS to satisfy the requirements of the multiple business units within the organization, customers, and suppliers resulting in a cost reduction through optimized and efficient computing
Cloud computing has been the hottest buzzword in recent years and is continually to be one of the most popular felids in which not only IT industry but other industries like commence, geosciences, education, etc are interested and where hundreds of millions of dollars flood into. The whole term “cloud computing” is first introduced to the public media by Google ex-CEO Eric Schmidt on Search Engine Strategies Conferences in 2006 (Schmidt 2006). The generally accepted definition of cloud computing is developed by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST):
According to Bowen (2011), there are four models for deploying cloud services (p1). A private cloud is private. Meaning it is yours and operated only for you. However, the private cloud can be outsourced to be managed by another. As the owner of the private cloud you can dictate your security and privacy options yourself. A community cloud is shared with others. By working with a community, the consumers should have shared requirements, security, and privacy options. Another type of cloud is the public cloud. This type of cloud is open to the public or it could be a large consumer who owns the cloud and is offering the services to consumers for a price. The last type of cloud is the hybrid. A hybrid cloud can both be private and community. The clouds are tied together but are still separate. The clouds share data and application portability.
In very short span of time, cloud computing has become integral part of everyone’s daily lives. It has been growing rapidly and has captured wide range of market. Cloud has given rise to new mobiles and tablets which run powerful applications. It maintains our friendship via those apps and stores our personal data. It has several of importance like:
Cloud computing is where software applications, data storage and processing capacity are accessed over internet. Organizations use cloud computing in a variety of different service models like IAAS, PAAS and SAAS. These are the three building blocks of cloud computing.
Cloud computing is a fairly new technology; it is separated into three separate categories. The first is Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) this service is mainly used by companies to cut the cost of buying computer hardware such as servers , they also save on maintenance cost since the virtual servers is maintained by the company that rents them [1]. The second category is Software as a Service (SaaS) this service deals with providing software which is usually rented, this allows users to have multiple users whereas normal software limits the amount of users [1]. The last category Platform as a Service (PaaS) is used as a tool to develop software [1]. All these services offered by Cloud Computing are done virtually where you access
Cloud computing comes up with designers and IT arrangements. capability to concentrate on factors such as providence, attainment and sufficiency planning. Due to increase in complications and costs of management, IT organizations found different models of cloud computing which respond to different needs of various users. National institute of standards and technology (2011) has described that cloud computing has three service models known as software as service(SAAS), Platform as a service (PAAS) and Infrastructure as a service(IAAS).cloud computing provides
The term cloud computing encompasses allot of areas of technology. It also includes new ventures such as hardware service, a way to manage storage and server load on demand from Amazon and others. What all these cloud computing services do in common, though, is that they are all delivered over the Internet from massive data centers (Kroenke, 2013, King, 2008, Wardley, 2012, Hinchcliffe, 2014).
Cloud computing refers to the hardware, systems software, and applications delivered as services over the Internet (Antonopoulos & Gilliam 2010, p. 3). According to the United States’ National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), cloud computing is a model for enabling network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. However, even with all of these definitions, cloud computing is still somewhat a very broad term to describe. Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison (2008) once said:
Cloud services provides flexible, elastic, and dynamic platform. There is wide range of services that could be provided by cloud providers. Based on blabla, there are 3 models of cloud services that widely popular. They are Infratructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
There are different types of cloud computing services available on the market which falls into one of the following categories.
Cloud computing provides three important types of services in the cloud environment: Software as a service (SaaS), Platform as a
The popularity of mobile system with the headway in engineering, with the increment of Internet utilization, comprehensively reinvent the old idea of network computing system, to the new buzzword "Cloud computing". Cloud computing is a link way to the usage of Cloud which process by transmitting and receiving files in utilizing Internet. Most systems uses either of the three major models of cloud computing services on the market, which are software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS).
Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous (present everywhere), convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction [1]. Types of Cloud computing models are Public cloud, Private cloud and Hybrid
