Look at those frosty flakes in the sky! Well, it's winter! In winter, you can do all kinds of fun family things.Winter is the best season because of all of the fun things you can do.

The four seasons specify the time of year. Seasons generally prepare you for the weather conditions for the specific months. However, the four seasons, in literature, can represent the mood and age throughout the text. For example, in the story, The Crucible the author used the season, fall, leading the reader to the interpretation that the storyline will have a gloomy and an eerie atmosphere. Therefore, when the author adds the type of weather or describes the climate in his or her story, they are trying to illustrate the mood.

There are 4 seasons in America: Spring, summer, fall, and winter. In the springtime, (February- May) the first season in the year, it is mildly warm and sometimes cold. In the summertime, (June- August) the second season of the year, it is hot and sunny. In the fall, (September- November)

Students love summer because they are away from school and they can have more fun. They can hang out with friends, family, or just chill by themselves. They have more time instead of half of their days going to school to go outside and go on adventures. They can go out of town, or just go to the movies or the mall with friends. Not having all year round school gives students time to work.

The thing that I miss most about summer is King's island. I had a pass so I could go when I wanted to and it was always a fun time. It is a good time to hang out with friends and go on rides. My favorite ride there is the beast because it isn’t too bumpy and it has a ton of sharp turns and caves. It also is slightly scary with all of the fake warning signs. The food at Kings Island is also decent so I wouldn’t have to go get lunch. If I get tired of the rides then I can go on the water rides and the wave pool. The water rides don’t usually have the longest of lines if you get there early but if not then they are worth it. My favorite overall is the Tropical Plunge. This ride has the drop shoot, You stand in a vertical tube and you wait for the countdown and the floor drops underneath your feet. You then shoot down the tube and you make it to the end. All of these factors make Kings Island a very fun place, and the thing that I miss the most from summer.

Jersey Boys on Broadway played Friday August 22nd at 8 Pm, and performed at the August Wilson Theater in New York. The main characters consisted of Dominic Scaglione Jr. as Frankie Valli, Richard H. Blake as Tommy DeVito, Quinn VanAntwerp as Bob Gaudio and Michael Lomenda as Nick Massi. Jersey Boys is a musical memoir of the 1960’s rock and roll group, The Four Seasons. Through the progression of the play, the audience is taken on a journey as each member of the group narrates a particular development emphasizing how the Four Seasons came to be. In the first Act, Tommy DeVito walks out on stage and begins to tell the audience about the development of the band. At first, the group started out as starting out as "The Variety Trio" along with his brother, Nick DeVito and friend Nick Massi. At that time, Tommy discovered a confused teenager, Frankie Castelluccio, and took him under his wing, teaching him everything he knows about music. With Nick DeVito in prison, the band struggled to gain any form of success, they changed their names multiple times until Bob Gaudio, singer and songwriter came along uniting the lost group (Playbill: Jersey Boys).

Giant flags of red, white, and blue, my children shouting, my friends and family, the perfect weather, a backyard barbeque, and the beauty of the fireworks lights up the night sky. No other holiday makes me happier than July 4th.
