In the beginning God created the heavens with the Earth along with man in his own image. For over 1500 years, Christian followers were heavy believers of the bible, seeing it as the primary source for knowledge. Then came the scientific revolution in the 1500s, a movement which challenged the Christian view of the universe. It was a time when people were looking for a new way of thinking about the world. Since then and to this day, there has been several instances in which scientific inquiry and religious belief have collided in their ideologies.

When comparing science and religion there has been a great rift. As long as humanity has believed in a creator there as always been thinkers trying to quantify and evaluate the truth behind religion, trying to disprove or prove a supernatural force.

In order for a person to accurately use the scientific method to gather knowledge and truth from the Bible a person should have a general Christian worldview. A Christian worldview is "any ideology, philosophy, theology, movement or religion that provides an overarching approach to understanding God, the world and man's relations to God and the world.” (Noebel, D, 1995). In a biblical worldview the word of God is infallible. The Bible is the foundation of everything Christians say and do. A person who is living in a secular worldview has beliefs filled with selfish, fallen-world ideas that seductively appeal to the desires of one’s flesh. A person with a Christian worldview already has the answer within their heart. So a person with a Christian worldview is led to look for truth within the Bible which is revealed to them through revelation. Without the proper worldview, people will be unable to find truth and knowledge within the Bible. In looking through a lens it is important to consider the lens that the material was originally created from and intended for. The scientific method will continue to remain valid, only if analogous worldviews are shared.

Whenever I hear people say the Bible is "to confusing" to get into or they already put in their time serving God, and want to live their own life, I can't help but feel they fail to see the one simple truth: that if a person remains in God's word, they are free from whatever prison that holds them back.

Although many people believe that The Bible is an old dusty book full of outdated facts written 5000 years ago, I strongly believe and know that it’s full of scientific and medical facts that do not contradict the facts of modern day science. Despite the many refutations, The Bible was indeed inspired by God.

The common narrative surrounding science and religion is that they are contradictory. People believe science is just a way to prove religion wrong, and so far science has remarkable accuracy. But science does not work against religion, rather science defends religion, and in some cases helps create deeper understanding of religion. When questioning religion, using science can help answer questions not found in the Bible, helping to further human understanding of both science and religion, and seeing how the two can build on each other.

Despite the fact that it started as a movement, Christianity has emerged into an internationally accepted religion that is composed of several denominations within the faith. Regardless of their specific set of practices, each denomination recognize Scripture as collection of God-breathed sacred writings that are contained within the Bible. I began after reading this introduction to look far the proof of the statements written above. The introduction went on to explain that Science matters because it is the preeminent story of our age, an epic saga about who are, where we come from, and were we are going. Well I sure was going to read this book because to be honest I have always believed and was taught The Holy Bible was the only I could look to know who we are, where we came from and where we are going.

In the Bible, “The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are called the Synoptic Gospel, because they give a panorama or overview (synopsis) of the life of Jesus, all telling the same story but from rather distinctive perspectives.” (Puchner ,1151).
