Television Essay The Big Bang Theory, a popular American sitcom was produced by Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros television, which airs on CBS network in the United Sates. The Big Bang Theory is starting its eleventh season, which is going the premier on the twenty-fifth of September. Which in time CBS is going to start another two seasons in March 2017 and the other season in 2018 through 2019. The show stars Jim Parson, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuocu, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Raunch. When the series started to show progress, we see that the guys have trauma. It is probably their parents who didn’t show love to them. Just like how the guys find different ways to fill their love with sex, girlfriends and being smart. In a way they wanted to be treated the same way as other people who have affection for their parents. When the show introduces their girlfriends, everything came around for them. For example, Leonard is getting married, Howard and Bernadette are married and Sheldon and Amy are still dating at the time. Which all their love is built around relationships and sometimes hurts along the way.
In the show, there have been many relationship’s in the show. But Leonard’s and Penny’s relationship took off when he asked Penny to become his girlfriend which changed his life. Towards the end of the first season they finally went to their first date. Suddenly, Penny wanted to break the relationship do to the fact that she was not smart enough for Leonard and the two started to date other people. But then Leonard came back from the Arctic and he still has feelings for her and their relationship has been on-off/again which remained off state for the rest of the season. Women’s emotions are not affected the same, but some women’s emotions are affected differently by dealing with different men with different income compared to other men. The show, Mad Men, takes place in the 1960’s New York, portraying the life of the protagonist, Don Draper (Jon Hamm), the Creative Director of Sterling Cooper Agency, an advertising agency owned by Roger Sterling (John Slattery). Don Draper is praised for his work, but many of the employees in the company, like Draper, are filled with arrogance and disrespect that not only the men face, but the women tolerate. The episode “Shoot” mainly focuses on how Don does not want his wife, Betty Draper (January Jones), to model again, on how the agency is trying to figure out how to stop John F. Kennedy’s campaign on the air, and how Don is trying to figure out to leave Sterling Cooper Agency and work for McCann-Erikson Firm, a different advertising agency. Throughout the episode, many can notice the men degrading and utilizing the women in the episode by making rude, sexual remarks towards the women or competing to be better than the women. Pearl won’t be able to associate with anyone. “The old minister seated himself in an arm–chair and made an effort to draw Pearl betwixt his knees. Throughout the film, “This is Where I Leave You”, affection and partner decisions are portrayed. One key romance was between Judd and childhood friend, Penny. After the death of Judd’s father, Judd runs into Penny while he is spending a week at his mother’s house. During the film there is a scene where Wendy explains to Judd how in love Penn was with him, but he was in love with Annie until he met Quinn. He rebuts that at one point she was in-love with childhood sweetheart, Horry. Also, they discussed how Annie is now the wife of their brother, Paul. Throughout the course, love, commitment, and selecting a partner were discussed. Very similarly in the film, young relationships didn’t withstand the duration due to the emotions and commitment that come with love.
Towards the start of his journey, Everett had been distracted by money, fame and the law. He never thought about how his actions had affected his family, because he was too focused on other things to worry about them. Once he hears his daughters tell him that Penny is remarrying, he is ready to fight for her. This opened up doors for Penny and allowed her to take responsibility for the things in life that she could control.
