Imagine turning on the TV one morning, and seeing two of the world's tallest towers being destroyed. That's what happened on September 11th 2001. 9/11, also known as the September 11th attacks, was where hijackers took over 4 planes and crashed them into the north and south world trade centers, and the pentagon. 9/11 left a lasting impact that was untouched by no one. Thousands of people died from these attacks, leaving scars in the hearts of people worldwide. New security procedures followed 9/11, along with stronger border protection. Moreover, more than a decade of war lasted with Afghanistan in the wake of 9/11.

We all remember that tragic day on September eleventh 2001. Four planes were hijacked and placed with a particular mission. Two planes hit the north and south tower of the World Trade Center. One hit the Pentagon, and one landed in a field in Pennsylvania. Many changes were made to the world because of 9/11. Some of those changes are airport security, war, and government issues. September eleventh changed the world changed for the better and worse.

On the morning of September 11 2001, terrorists hijacked four planes from American Airlines and United Airlines with the goal of ruining the U.S economy. Two of the planes achieved their goal and targeted both towers of the World Trade Center along with the Pentagon, resulting in the death of approximately 2,975 people. The events that took place on this day had a great impact not only in America, but around the world as well. After this day there were major changes in air travel, new government regulations, and a financial crisis.

Not only our view of the islamic culture but immigration and how strict we are with security, not just with airports but with events with high amounts of people in one specific area. It happened with Alceda that most people didn’t even know about them. Osama Bin Laden wanted to have an impact on America and they didn't have the weapons for attacking the army. They wanted the whole world to be afraid of them because since america is a strong country it would make every country fear the Alceda and tried to make the U.S weak. Approximately 2,977 innocent adults and children and also 343 new york firefighters and 23 police officers were killed with the collapse with the building and the planes hitting the buildings.

Before 9/11 no civilian ever expected or thought of a terrorist attack would occur at the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Virginia. The citizens of the United States were scared, confused, and angry all at the same time. This was the first attack by foreigners on American soil but not the first time that Americans were afraid of events that started in Europe and Eastern Europe but was brought to America, The American citizens did not take kindly to “foreigners” tell us what to do or how to live. They certainly did not want to change the American way of life.

The terrorist attacks of 9/11 were very devastating for our country. Lastly, security at airports, malls, and almost every public venue was entirely redesigned for our protection, but what the government believes is good for the people, isn’t always so great after all.
