Previously detailed information with regards to becoming a Doctor, was provided in order to gain insight into the academic process, advantages/disadvantages of the profession, alternatives to the career decision, and some insight to the Health Care industry environment in order to assist in formulating a desired course of action. Consequently, additional factors that may influence the decision must also be examined, but information herein this report will focus solely on the economic factors that may influence the primary career profession of a Doctor. II. Macroeconomics Affecting the Career Decision 1. Business Cycles Acknowledgement must be given that businesses to include the health care industry employment and unemployment rates will adhere to cycles that will originate in the health care environment. Additionally, there will be influences such as government policies that may affect the environment industry-wide.
