Causes of Political conflict
The culprit behind significant socio-political and economical changes and revolutions of the history is conflict. The uprising of such conflicts bring about an evolutionary change because it encourages people to redress their injustices, collaborate on solutions, and evolve in ways that could fundamentally transform the entire socio political and economical system.
(Maiese, 2003) In her article discussing causes of political conflict put these conflicts under the category of “ intractable conflicts “ because under her analysis these remain unresolved for longer periods of time and eventually become stuck with vulnerable intensity and destructiveness. These conflicts involve many parties and concern an intricate

Like moral values an individual’s sense of justice is a perceived discrepancy between what a person desires, obtains and believes he/she is entitled to. Un justice or unfair treatment inculcates the behavior to "get even" or challenge those who have treated them unjustly.
The intractability arises because the parties involved differ on the perspective of what qualifies as injustice. like in Hamlet the play by Shakespeare the famous quote of to be or not to be is the question, the line between just and unjust on personal account cannot be drawn. Perceptions and self interest fair to one person may not seem fair to another. Negotiation and problem solving becomes difficult because actual interests are masked and different and groups show unwillingness to even enter into dialogue let alone compromising.
Social, economical and personal

In case of conflicts arousing riots limiting social activity and when hospitals and schools are closed, rights to adequate health and education are threatened. The collapse of economic infrastructure often results in pollution, food shortages, and overall poverty. The breakdown of government institutions results in denials of civil rights, including the rights to privacy, fair trial, and freedom of movement. In many cases, the government is increasingly militarized, and police and judicial systems are terribly corrupted. Abductions, arbitrary arrests, detentions without trial, political executions, assassinations, and torture often
What is justice? Justice Is a concept of moral rightness based on ethics, rationality, law, natural law, religion, or equity. It is also the act of being just and/or fair. (Crime) It means to me punishment, fairness, and power by that I mean fairness as in equality for others like families, friends, and/or community. You have to have power in order to have fairness for the punishment that has been committed for example: murder, justice will prevail it always does.
There are roughly 800,000 people living within the United States that is under the protection of an executive order during the Obama administration called Deferred Action Against Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. These children, commonly referred to as “Dreamers,” have grown up in the United States. They attended elementary school here, many graduated high school here, and many went on to become successful adults living in the United States, but as of September 5th, 2017 the DACA program was shut down by the Trump administration, pending a trial in Congress. This means that those hundreds of thousands of individuals living under the DACA arm will no longer be legal residents in the United States.
Justice is treating people fairly. The most unjust occurrence I’ve ever heard about was in 1955, a time period in which African Americans were not seen as being equal to those that were white. I remember hearing about a young boy, Emmett Till, who was beaten to death, mangled, and thrown into a river for speaking to a white woman. This was unjust because the people that beat the boy were found to be
For example, in The Round House justice is what happens when the scale of morality is balanced out. As such, it is a concept of rightness. When someone does something wrong, they must pay for it. The recognition and consequences of their crime are recognized as justice. Justice has so many aspects to it that many people get caught up in the webs of the justice system. Some would argue that seeking justice
Oftentimes conflicts are only considered to be only an international difference in opinions, however, conflict can be present as a national issue. In the United States of America, although considered a relatively peaceful country, experiences national conflicts regularly. Dennis Prager says “Since neither black animosity nor the Left’s falsehood of ‘racial tensions’ is based on the actual behavior of the vast majority of white Americans, nothing white America can do will affect the perceptions of many black Americans or of the leftist libel.” This quote defends the idea that in most cases, the racial tension is one sided and without clear evidence.
Injustice is generated upon dishonesty and guilt, to feel more superior than the other person. People can come to a point where they don't feel secure with what
Theoretically significant to conflict is social identity theory. It allows “predictions to incorporate who is likely to perceive and act in group terms, to remain committed to the group in times of crisis” Turner (1999), Doosje & Ellemers, (1999). Bar-Tal stresses conflict exists when an incompatible goal exists between two groups. The question of when incompatibility sets become important in understanding the cause of inter-ethnic or communal conflicts for instance, even more importantly; conflict within ingroup. Inter-ethnic or communal conflict because within the scope of peacebuilding, that is the point where building peace thrives the most. There is an assumption that for peacebuilding to be
Political violence in violence outside of state control that is motivated by politics. The three main explanations for political violence are institutionally, ideationally, and individually. An institutional explanation focuses on how institutions of the state contribute to political violence. Ideationally, political violence can be explained by political or even religious ideas or beliefs. Individual motivated political violence focuses on the internal factors that make individuals seek out violence. Political violence can be sponsored by state organizations and non-state organizations and can target both civilians and the state itself. Some factors that play into political violence are ethnicity, nationalism, religion, ideology, political
In the world today, ideological differences are the root causes of many conflicts between individuals or nations and if allowed to aggravate, it becomes the brush strokes for a canvas that turn out to be the portrait of an all-out warfare. However, before countries engage in militarism, it is prudent that the leadership takes pragmatic steps towards a peaceable resolution because the misconception among architects of conflict is to further private agenda for their personal benefit. In a blind quest for gratification, these benefits are an opportunity cost for the larger society who is the unfortunate recipient of the ensuing anarchy. Nothing is fair in war; casualties caught up within the crossfire
As individuals it is guaranteed that justice is one of those qualities that people look for throughout their lifetime not only for themselves but for others as well. Some might be fighting for justice, while others just disregard it. However, it plays an important part within every person regardless of how he or she chooses to deal with the situations that are presented in front of them.
The purpose of this essay is to inform on the similarities and differences between systemic and domestic causes of war. According to World Politics by Jeffry Frieden, David Lake, and Kenneth Schultz, systemic causes deal with states that are unitary actors and their interactions with one another. It can deal with a state’s position within international organizations and also their relationships with other states. In contract, domestic causes of war pertain specifically to what goes on internally and factors within a state that may lead to war. Wars that occur between two or more states due to systemic and domestic causes are referred to as interstate wars.
Conflict handling is best addressed when both parties engage in an integrative approach where they work in cooperation and generate solutions that address the needs of both parties (de Reuver, 2006). This isn’t always the approach, however. Power can prevent a positive problem solving approach. The one holding the power simply does not need to operate in this way. “The powerful are less dependent on others than others are on them for acquiring and maintaining important resources” (de Reuver, 2006). In short, conflict, difficult already to manage, becomes much more difficult to handle if the power is unequal.
Competition is when an individual “achieves a victory through force, superior skill, or domination”. This type of approach fails to address the root cause of the conflict and suppresses the desires of other conflicting individuals; therefore resulting in future conflicts over the same issues. Collaboration is when all conflicting parties recognize something is wrong and needs attention. This is an ideal approach. When collaborating, groups respect each others ideas, opinions, and suggestions, and understand each others point of view. This allows group members to eventually accept the logic of a different point of view and accept that logic; therefore resulting in a consensus. Compromise is when each group gives up something of value to the other group. This is an appropriate approach when: there is insufficient time, issue not worth time or energy, or there’s no realistic or easy agreement.
