The Causes And Effects Of Global Warming

Decent Essays

Global warming is depressing affecting the earth, as we speak. While some disagree with this belief, scientific studies clearly state the amending of our natural surroundings. Furthermore, there are countless ways we can slow these effects and prevent further damage. Climate change is a modern problem, with global environmental patterns with consuming fossil fuels that we are strongly accountable for.
We started this era with fossil fuels, which includes minerals such as coal, oil, and gas. We burn them, and the amount of CO2 or carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases. Carbon dioxide along with water vapor, chlorofluorocarbons and methane are the main greenhouse gases. They form the greenhouse effect, a term that defines how the gases in the atmosphere maintain the temperature of earth’s surface. The greater the greenhouse gases, the higher the temperature.
The population is believing climate change is untruthful and bizarre. However, there is proof from numerous scientific tests. One well-known effect is the temperature increasing together with the ice melting, especially in the poles. From the 1880s to present time, the temperature has been growing rapidly. In the 1880s, charts affirm the temperature was approximately 13.7 degrees C (Celsius). Currently, we are about 14.5 degrees Celsius. If we stay at this temperature, several icy locations such as Greenland will be gone, and other locations will be affected by it. Studies from NASA state New York, Norway and London
