The Change In John Denver's The Trail

Decent Essays

The Trail is an action packed book that withholds countless unexpected twists and turns. Some of these events actually created a major change in multiple characters, which then resulted in the mood of the story changing as well. For example, there is one particular event where Denver tells the unfortunate story of what happened to his brother, and then does something completely unexpected. This resulted in a change in Denver, and a change in Toby. In the book, it exclaims, “By the time I get to them, Denver has slung off his pack and is standing at the edge of the cliff. For example, Toby and Lucas got into an argument over Toby always being the follower, and Lucas took that into consideration. In the story, it described, “He had listened to me when I yelled at him. About always being the follower. He wanted to give me the chance to change that. To prove that I could be a leader, too,” (Hashimoto 138). I always do my best to take everyone’s feelings into consideration, and do pretty much whatever I can to make them feel better, and it seems that Lucas did that as well. For these reasons, I would say that we will handle the majority of situations in a similar
