The year is 2514 in New York City, now a place that looked like it was abandoned long ago. But it was not abandoned, there were still citizens living inside its borders. The problem was the city ran out of funds to support itself and the only money left was behind a vault in the city hall that had a passcode none of the citizens knew. Behind it was tons of gold that could easily fix the problems of the city and bring it back to what it once was. That is the code we have been looking for!” “Are you sure Joel?” Mike responded. “Why else would it be on the blueprint for the city hall that contained the vault if it wasn’t the code?” Joel mentioned. “That is a conclusive point, but if we want what is in the vault, we need to get to the vault.” Mike said. “Oh that, that is easy. All we have to do is sneak past the guards, find the vault, enter the code, and claim the gold. Simple, right?” Joel asked. “Not quite, but it is a good plan.” Mike responded. Then, as Joel said, at exactly 12:00 a.m. they left their “house” and went into the darkest of alley ways. They snuck very quietly to avoid detection from the guards. Both realized it was not too far to reach City Hall. After about 30 minutes of traveling through the dark decrepit alleyway, they had made it to the city hall. Silence was their priority to avoid being heard by the guards and being BUSTED! When they heard a guard coming they quickly sprinted to hide behind a fallen book shelf. As they hid behind the shelf, there was not a sound to be heard except the heavy footsteps of the guard passed through, but fortunately they were not seen. Once the guards cleared, the two snuck through the old worn down hallways five more times before finding a very odd book case in an area that looked unordinary for one to be in. “Ok Mike, I think this is it. We only have one chance though, so it better be it.” Joel whispered. “Well if we only have one chance we must
“Although there has been limited evaluation of positive youth development programs, the evidence that is available suggests that the opportunities, skills, and atmosphere offered in a positive youth development program can lead to better health, social, and educational outcomes” (United States. Dept. of Health and Human Services). Teachers, parents, local business owners, community leaders, and local citizens will need to work together to achieve this goal of a crime and poverty free city life. People cannot continue to sit back and ignore the issues of America’s youth. Ignorance is no longer an acceptable practice if America hopes to fix this situation. The children will not break the cycle without guidance from those who are in the position to
However, they couldn’t think of a way to catch them without spooking them and letting them run away. They stood around for a little bit looking at each other, because they didn’t know what to do and because of how ill equipped they were. The text says, “Some of them lifted their heads and turned them from side to side...The boys had not brought clubs, or sacks, or anything but themselves.”
Logan flicked on his flashlight and pointed it to the ground, “ It looks like there are footprints going towards the tunnel”.
At sunrise, the two sisters walked out of Fairy Field’s gates, towards The Lost City.
“So how did you and Ban know all of that stuff back there?” Sierra asked.
“We’ll need all the help we can get,” Jenny told him. “Who knows? This could give us a lead. You know, point us in the right direction.”
“ I don’t really know,” Connor said. You guys should all have some kind of chip that should be in your pocket which gets us back to where the stone is.
Unfortunately, as Daniel neared the house, he noted the glow of fire inside. Meanwhile, the turncoat house guard and doorman escaped in the same direction the robbers had. He knew there was no time for interrogations, let alone a chase in vain. He had been given an assignment, and that was to inspect he house. He needed to stop the fire in order to do so.
As I got near, a heavy silence settled over them; thicker than the uneasy tension in the atmosphere. Unsettled eyes glanced unceremoniously around at me and others tried to avoid catching any glances.
“Thats why were going” she said, already gathering up her supplies for the trip “we’re going to save him.”
“You would have figured it out if we had stayed,” Charles said. “I could tell by your aura when you were examining the graffiti, you were trying to decipher the meaning.”
Clawd tapped his chin in thought, and a nearby dumpster grabbed his attention. "I know! Jackson said he's in the presidential suite, three floors up. If we climb up the dumpster, we might reach the second floor, and then we can take an elevator up to the third floor."
They had to retreat or else they would easly be taken out. They fell back to the forest to their right as fast as they could. Once they were able to gather themselfs, they realized that they had some
