The concept of Higher Education Learning and its terminology was established at the beginning of the 21st century. “As new technologies emerge and enter into higher education, we must continue to appraise their educational value.” (Kirkwood, 536) When the use of computers, tablets, smartphones and other technology methods can be used in the classroom to help promote learning. Higher education learning is the combination of face-to-face instruction by the professor with some computer based instruction.

E-learning is a new technological innovation that is increasingly used in education all over the United States. Using personal computers students are provided with opportunities to enhance their learning by accessing information from another part of the world through e-learning. Meanwhile, universities all over the world already encourage their professors to use technology as tools to support their students learning. “Many Canadian Educational Psychology classes currently emphasize and model constructivist teaching practices in addition to integrating the notion of connectivity and Web 2.0 into educational theory.” (Wood, 299) And just the convenience of the internet, online programs, and apps it has helped me out more than I care to admit.
Some universities have integrated e-learning into their classes already and it’s been positive for the students. E-learning can enhance students educational learning experience by increasing motivation and it allows students to interact more freely in the academic setting. I believe that e-learning can help students take responsibility for their own learning by being more confident. This enables introverted students to interact freely, provides diversification of activities, and permits the acquisition of valuable study information and time management skills.
