The Iliad novel by Homer translated by Richmond Lattimore is a book that talked about the war that happened between Greek and the Trojans. The war between both countries was as a result of Paris (Prince of Trojan, The brother of Hector and the son of Priam the king of Trojan) who collected Menelaus (The brother of Agamemnon) wife, Helen (The most beautiful woman in Greek) during the visit of Troy in Greek, also the fight was as a result of wrath of the gods against each other and against mortals. The Paris was called to settle a conflict between goddesses Aphrodite, Hera and Athena as which of them is the most pretty, he chooses Aphrodite instead of Hera or Athena , As a result of these Athena and Hera came into conclusion always standing against the Trojan. These goddess tried to bride Paris in order for them to chosen as the most beautiful goodness. Hera came up with her on bribe of power and kingdom of his own, Athena came up with her own bribe of wisdom and success in battle and Aphrodite came up with her own bribe of love which was the love of Helen. There was also a conflict between two other men Agamemnon (The king of Mycenae and leader of the Greek army; brother of King Menelaus of Sparta.) He was a very arrogant and selfish, he also provides the Greek with strong but sometimes reckless and self-serving leadership.
