The continued threats of Isis are a growing foreign policy problem in the United States. The policies brought by the two Presidential Candidates have both positive and negative consequences. Candidate Hillary Clinton’s policy towards Isis includes taking out Isis strongholds, work with allies, and strengthen defenses at home. Presidential Candidate Donald Trump’s foreign policy toward Isis is to eliminate them with full military force. Isis is a growing problem in our world and should not be overlooked by the Candidate elected to be the next President of the United States. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as Isis, terror group has been an important issue in the United States for the past couple of years. After the recall of troops from Iraq, radical Islamist movements started to begin and Isis was formed. The first issue of Isis is they have grown in numbers over the years. Secondly, Isis controls thousands of square miles of ungoverned territory. Their high supply of troops and land allows them to creatively think of major attacks, including attacks on the U.S. Lastly, when people see the attacks from Isis, some people naturally gravitate towards these groups. Two months after 9/11 attacks Osama Bin Laden said “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse.” Isis will continue to grow in power if countries do not come together to help totally eliminate them.
Presidential Candidate Hillary
The recent terrorist attacks by ISIS have without question reignited the debate over whether ISIS is a threat to the United States. I believe this question easily answers itself. Eighty two Americans have been accused of helping the Islamic states. While out of those eighty two people thirty two asserted to carry out an attack on American territory. However, twenty eight actually went through with it and took action on carrying out their plan. Only five were in contact with the Islamic states while planning their attacks. Even though most of the attackers were not in direct contact with ISIS while planning these attacks, their actions were influenced by the belief that they are doing it for ISIS.
Throughout history many Presidential candidates have had many different views on ways to solve a problem within America. While there are two candidates that stuck out the most to me in 2015 elections. Those two candidates are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Their views on how to solve the problem with Isis has brought great interest to me. First to inform you of some things about these two. Hillary Clinton is running as a Democrat for America meaning she is an advocate or supporter of democracy. Donald Trump is running as a Republican also meaning he is a person advocating or supporting republican government. Additionally, you would come to find out that Hillary Clinton
Presidential elections are approaching quicker than ever, and the population is hoping that our new president will be able to solve global issues that were meant to be solved years ago. Unfortunately, there are many problems for a president to solve in four years, which is why we hope our new president will need to focus on the most urgent issues at hand. One of these issues is, of course, the surge of terrorism coming from the Middle East, namely from the group called ISIS.
Many people think American soldiers should get involved with the ISIS attack on Paris and other attacks. But really, should we, many say no because the cost of sending troops over. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan cost $1.26 trillion from the start of the war to the end was maybe $8 trillion. The United States military lost over troops as casualties of the Iraq war and sent home at least 32,000 more who were physically and mentally damaged. Some say we don't want to start a bigger war. If we don't help then there's all ready going to be a war and who will help the innocent people. People are dying for no reason it’s sad to read about it; it could of be anyone and to wonder how the family’s dealing with their lost is unfortunate. The attack
ISIS is a serious threat that most of the world knows about, although not a lot know about their origin or who and how they started. ISIS is a direct result of the 9/11 counter attack that was authorized by Bush in 2007. The push against Al Qaeda forces was all in all successful the majority of Al Qaeda Groups were destroyed. During the Arab springs a lot of rebel group's ranks were filled with Former Al Qaeda members. What was left of Al Qaeda leaders saw this and took advantage, they created a splinter cell called Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). AQI was lead by a man named Zaqueri who led AQI. The splinter cell did not last very long and once again fell apart. From the ashes of AQI formed a new organization of jihadist was formed this was called Islamic State of Iraq (ISI). ISI fought as a militia group to break free from a tyrannical ruler, but fights against other rebel groups and their fight has changed from rebels fighting for their rights to a jihadist group that is fighting a holy war. They have taken land up through Syria changing the name of this horrific war cult of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). There are a few things that need to happen
In the past few years, ISIS has grown to be an extremely strong and dangerous terrorist group. ISIS developed from divisions in Al Qaeda, another terrorist group. Both of these terrorist groups believe that the successor of the Prophet Muhammad should be elected, not through bloodline. Although they come from the same place, they are not similar at all. ISIS slowly moves with small attacks, like beheadings and videos to show their power. They conquer territories to expand their “Caliphate,” as they would call it. Al Qaeda was very fast moving with deliberately powerful attacks such as the plane hijackings that led to the falling of the Twin Towers. According to the website, Mirror, in a Jihadi magazine, ISIS says they hate the west because there are some atheists and disbelievers of Allah. They find that to be extremely offensive for the reason that they think the highest of Allah, or their God. They also hate that we invaded their lands.
ISIS was only founded in 2001 as another part of Al Qaeda to most likely continue their legacy. On September 11, 2001 Islamic extremists that was affiliated with Al Qaeda a terrorist group based in Afghanistan attack the U.S. and killed 3000 people. ISIS's number one goal is to spread fear in the hearts of the world, as fear spreads power. Other attacks that ISIS has been affiliated with was the London bombings that happened in 2005 that killed 52 people. ISIS is also doing what a lot of terrorist groups did back in the past thus they are using those tactics to try and spread fear, for example from the 1890s –1920s a group of anarchists went across Europe and the U.S. which they killed the President of France, the Prime minister of Spain, the empress of Austria-Hungary, the king of Italy, and President William McKinley apparently no other group of people has killed so many world leaders in history. There’s also the second terrorist wave that happened in the 1960s-1980s where a group called the Red Army Faction that was part of west Berlin killed 400 people in four years of terrorist attacks. Now in the early 2000s the Islamic state has done a lot of what the second terrorist wave started but it has been debated that ISIS is not as bad as the guys in the second terrorist
ISIS is one of America’s current top concerns to this day. It has invaded into many of the Islamic states, taking over the churches and overpowering Al-Qaeda, and suppressing many religions in that region. There are many problems that this causes to arise in the U.S government, one of which is that ISIS is steadily taking over and controlling oil drills and other mineral plants causing the price of them to go up back here in the U.S. There are many other economies around the world that this is also affecting.
Everyday we see on the news the next terrible thing that has happened involving ISIS. Mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters are all perishing due to cruelty of this group. We all sit around waiting for the next attack hoping that it isn’t us, living our lives in the fear of the possibility of being a victim to these people. The US continues to attempt to control ISIS and put them to an end, but no one can find the right solution.
The rise of Isis is a big thing in the world we live in now. Every Country is at the risk of ISIS attacking them. There have been many attacks that ISIS has carried out, for example of what they have done is the 9/11 attack, this was a really sad day for the American people. The ISIS group hijacked 4 air planes and 2 got ramped into the twin towers kill many people, and one of the other planes crashed into the Pentagon and the 4th plane crashed in a field, 2,996 people died on the 11 of September. This was all from ISIS., another attack ISIS did was the Paris shooting, the 3 people who are members of ISIS ran into this ma magazine writer and open fire in this work place and killed 17 people, after they did their thing, they jumped into a car and drove off, the reason they did this was because the magazine writer made fun of their god. Over the many years that ISIS have been around they have done over hundred attacks. The points that I will be touching on is the background, chronology, how have we changed, Groups affected and different perspectives. ISIS is also known as ISIL. ISIL stands for Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. ISIS operates around the world but most of the time ISIS operates in western Iran and also in eastern Syria. ISIS has a massive stretch of ground in both of those states. This makes it military the most effective is jihadi movement ever. While the specific size is unknown, we believe that ISIS has thousands and hundreds of fighters. ISIS comes from
The world has one common hate and that 's terrorism. The Middle East is the home of many terrorist groups but more commonly known for the two biggest groups in the late 20th and 21st century. These two groups are Al- Qaeda and the newer of the two, Isis. These two group have cause mehame in the streets of most countries for years. The biggest since the start of the 21st century was obviously the attack on the world trade center on 9/11/01. This attack was claimed by Osama Bin-Laden the leader of Al- Qaeda. After this attack for years the world has been fighting terrorism and as the fighting starts to decline a whole new group forms into a new and more powerful group. This group goes by the name of Isis. Al- Qaeda 's down fall was the
Apple has tipped the scale of technological innovations; however, they have gone too far. I do not support Apple’s adoption of their IOS 8 encryption to prevent law enforcement access to user’s information. Terrorist attacks rates have increased in 2015 compared to previous years. The United States and various foreign countries are fighting against a new terror organization called ISIS. ISIS is an Islamic terrorist organization which has made alleges to kill thousands of individuals worldwide, however primarily individual’s in the United States. News outlet such as FOX 5 and ABC news report on, ISIS threats and attacks on a weekly basis from tragedy stories to information regarding the organization’s development. In the article by David Sanger, the director of the FBI, James Comedy, said “What concerns me about this is companies marketing something expressly to allow people to hold themselves beyond the law. Terrorists will figure this out,” along with savvy criminals and paranoid dictators” (Sanger, 2014). Terrorist groups would be able to use Apple encryption to their advantage. Terrorist can use Apple’s IOS 8 to communicate among various devices that support IOS 8. Law enforcement officials would be unable to monitor or legally obtain these devices with a court order to prevent any potential attacks. For example, the recent terrorist attack against Paris is believed the terrorist “used the Sony PlayStation 4 to recruit for and plan the attacks. The report suggests that
The Islamic State formerly known as ISIS is the most secure international terrorist group in the world. Their goal is to create an Islamic state. They don 't value human lives and morality is nonexistent within the group. ISIS behead innocent Americans, holding the decapitated head of a victim up to the camera in order to recruit others around the world to join their fight. These gruesome propaganda videos are one of the many ways ISIS has recruited thousands of people around the world. Unfortunately, America, one of the strongest military nations in the world, procrastinated in taking action to eliminate ISIS and is still suffering the consequences of not responding in a more swift and forceful manner to the threat. Even though President Obama eventually responded to the ISIS crisis, his response was inadequate. ISIS has continued attacks on sixteen different countries around the globe. They are here in America and have been for awhile. They operate unpredictably and swiftly in order to attack blind targets, and America holds one of the top places on that target list.
Today we live in an era where multitudes of information are at our fingertips. While the majority of this information is useful, there is also harmful material online. Many people within our government and policy makers have dreaded the day that terrorist will use the internet to their advantage. Unfortunately, that day is upon us. The Islamic State terrorists are releasing propaganda videos, using chats rooms to recruit followers, and asking people to answer their radical interpretation of Islam, in which they attack the United States from within the borders. The Islamic State are using the internet and social media to their advantage, reaching millions of people. While some individuals just view this content, others answer this call and carry out attacks on our homeland. President Johnson, you should implement the recommend policy censorship of Islamic State material via online, to include chat rooms, websites, and social media profiles in support of this group. With this new strategy, this will counter the efforts of the Islamic State’s online onslaught. This will aid in the current situation, but also any future issues with terrorist organizations as well. Within this directive will have to answer the following:
Terrorism, which has been around for as long as people can remember, has been on the rise for the past ten years. Terrorists usually use murdering, kidnapping, hi-jacking and bombings to achieve their political purpose. For instance, according to Wikipedia.com (2006), in 1985 816 deaths, then in 2003, more than 1,000 people died by terorist acts around the world. In recent years, terrorism seems to be at a new height and attacks are much more violent than in the past. Unfortunately, in spite of many anti-terror campaigns, projects and organizations are being created for prevention (to prevent) terrorism, the number of terrorists only is increasing. These days terrorism is all over the world.
