Socrates and Plato's Contribution Towards the Formation of Modern Society Abstract The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact caused by Socrates and Plato on the modern society of today. It is very important to review the lives of these great philosophers and see what inspired them to become the entities which are greatly revered even in today's technologically advanced age. This paper would focus on different aspects of their lives including references of their work and a glance in their overall thought processes. Introduction The modern era we see today is known for many technological breakthroughs in terms of medicine, physics, psychology and so on. Today we see different authors, thinkers and philosophers doing a great deal of research in their respective field for the purpose of changing the world for the better. Many are an inspiration for a new set of thinkers while others get their inspiration from those whose work in the past have been an evolution for different fields. Here it is important to mention about two great philosophers whose work has impacted not only the western society but the whole world in general.
