Prostitution itself goes back to 2400 B.C and like any other service or profession prostitutes are paid, so why not legalize it as an official job? The US has stamped the name of prostitution as a crime when not only it could benefit the workers but if it was legal it could benefit the economy of the United States tremendously.

I agree for the most part with Lillian. I think that legalizing and regulating prostitution will make it safer for all. Like was mentioned, requiring condom use and routine STI testing would definitely help keep the clients and the workers safer. I also agree that it may help protect prostitutes because they will not have to worry about repercussions of reporting assault.
