At first, Polly didn’t think of black people as human beings or understand them: “As far as she was concerned, they should all get shipped back to Africa or wherever it was they came from. … How could the good Lord have made such creatures?” (Draper 75). She thought of them as nuisances: “[T]hey were just unpleasant to deal with. Besides, Negroes made it difficult for regular folks like herself to get work” (Draper 75). Polly barely cares for black people like Amari and finds it difficult to think from their perspective. Amari also starts out unable to understand or relate to white people, but Polly makes her think otherwise after telling her about her origins and family: “Amari understood as well, but it surprised her. She’d never really thought about Polly’s loss or grief. She just figured that because Polly was a white girl, her life just had to have been easier” (Draper 118). Over the course of the book, both of them changed. Polly also becomes more interested in learning about Africa: “‘What does it look like?’ Polly asked”

Good afternoon everybody, I hope your lunch was good. I’m here today to speak on behalf of Russia, and the entirety of the Silver Lane Pact. As you know, Russia as a whole has been having some serious issues with equal representation and general equality in its past. Whether it be the recent domestic violence law rollback, or the unfair representation in our federatorial government. To take the lead in this matter would be fitting for us, and needed for the entire world. Equality is often defined as the quality or state of being equal. However, we must look at it’s true definition as only two words. The future. Fair and equal representation, and the ability to fight for these core values of freedom is, and will always be,

In this experiment an elemental copper was cycled a series of five reactions where it ended with pure elemental copper as well, but at different stages of the cycle the copper was in different forms. In the first reaction, elemental copper was reacted with concentrated nitric acid where copper changed the form from solid to aqueous. Second reaction then converted the aqueous Cu2+ into the solid copper II hydroxide (Cu(OH)2) through reaction with sodium hydroxide. The third reaction takes advantage of the fact that Cu(OH)2 is thermally unstable. When heated, Cu(OH)2 decomposes (breaks down into smaller substances) into copper II oxide and water. When the solid CuO is reacted with sulfuric acid, the copper is returned to solution as an ion (Cu2+). The cycle of reactions is completed with the

"Courage isn't an absence of fear. It's doing what you are afraid to do. It's having the power to let go of the familiar and forge ahead into new territory." ~John Maxwell. In To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout (Jean Louise Finch), Jem (Jeremy Atticus Finch), and Atticus Finch display acts of valor that contribute, and in some cases encourage their rectitude. Harper Lee demonstrates that acting courageously can lead to an improved, sustained, or newly developed personal integrity.
A whole week passed and we still weren’t any closer to finding Copper. The only lead we had was the video that Copper took on the day he was captured, but it only allowed for us to hear the captor’s voice. We were unable to see his face and even if we could, we wouldn’t be able to identify him because of his mask.
In the fifth reaction, 2.29 g of zinc was added to the copper (II) sulfate solution under the fume hood. The balanced equation for this reaction is written as followed:

For our science assessment we had the task to research about a metal of our choice. Since I am really into computers, I chose copper. A metal used in all kinds of wires, cpu’s and other stuff without a computer wouldn’t work. This fits really well into what we have to do for the second part, describe how this metal has helped human society.
