Introduction The country of Ichibana has been at war with Tutu. Ichibana has lots of culture, but Ichibana needs to become a more stable country. Today, Ichibana and Tutu have stopped fighting; now Ichibana is looking for a government. Consulting Made Easy is dedicated to helping the country of Ichibana to gain a stable government and protect Ichibana 's natural resources. Statement of the Problem or Need Ichibana needs a government because governments organize societies. When the country of Ichibana becomes more organized, Ichbana will be able to use natural resources much more efficiently (The University of North Carolina at Pembroke). When Ichibana learns how to use natural resources more efficiently, less of the resource is used. Since less of the natural resource is used, there will be less pollution and there will be more of the natural resource left over. If the natural resources of Ichibana are misused, then there would be more pollution, less usable soil, and little to no drinking water(UN News Center/FAO SOILS PORTAL | FAO). If Ichibana does not get a Government, they will become unorganized and the country of Ichibana will be in uproar. Statement of Solution Consulting Made Easy suggests that the country of Ichibana use a republican form of government modeled after the ancient civilization of Rome (How was Rome governed). Consulting Made Easy has found that the ancient roman civilization was very successful and using the republican system would benefit Ichibana
Ancient Rome is known for some of the most powerful leaders, rulers, and kings to ever walk the earth. With many powerful leaders came many different political styles, ideas, and philosophies ranging from the democracy we have in America today to power driven tyrants consumed by their greed for new land and more cities to rule.
Government is necessary in all societies. The government offers citizens protection if the citizens agree to conform to the laws put into place. Laws are put into place to keep order and to protect people from hurting themselves. Without government there would be no laws or order and all societies would have complete chaos. There are many different forms of government and all leaders run their societies in different ways.
First, The Roman Republic had three main units and other small branches, much like America’s government. For the first main unit, there is a dictator that was elected by the people and took total control of Rome during a crisis, such as food shortages, wars, and other things. The second main unit is the Senate that collected taxes and passed all of the laws. For the last unit there are the Consuls that had control over the military when not in a crisis. They were elected by majority like America’s government. They also chose the senate members. And that is how Ancient Rome’s government worked.
Documents 3, 4, and 5 all show that their cultures incorporated their values into their respective laws, governments, and methods of exerting political power. Clearly, all of these documents incorporated their respective cultures’ values into their governments and methods for asserting their political power. Despite this common trait, these documents can be grouped by their cultures’ differences in government. Documents 2, 5, and 6 show that their cultures had very liberal governments while documents 3 and 4 show that their cultures had strict governments. The Greeks had a very lenient form of government, a democracy, while the Confucian Chinese believed that humans were naturally inclined towards being good. Finally, the Romans had a liberal government which allowed almost anyone to become citizens, even people who weren’t Romans. In contrast with these lenient governments, the Legalist Chinese and the Indians under King Ashoka’s rule had strict laws which firmly controlled the citizens. The Legalists believed their ruler should govern his people by giving out strict punishments or rewards while King Ashoka passed strict edicts which firmly controlled the people through officials who reported back to the
Citizenship is not a recent idea, nor it is an ancient organization of society. The idea that the ordinary person should play a role in society emerged as citizenship, and the status, given by a government to some or all people, balances individual rights and individual responsibilities to aid the government. The most predominant form of early citizenship is in Athens and Rome, in which the people of a state are known as citizens as opposed to subjects, who populate the empires in Egypt, Babylon, and China. In spite of having a similar governing system, Rome and Athens are two drastically different civilizations; their differences not only stem from the drastic difference in their population number, but also from their ideals of life. However,
Quote from Pericles,” We have a form of government which does not emulate the practice of our neighbors, we are more of an example to others than an imitation of them. ”(page 62) Now this meaning that the Roman people had their own way of doing things hence the city of Rome look how it was built. Other groups tribes look at their way of doing things and use Rome's ideas to better their territory.
While democracy has a simple definition, “power for the people”, the interpretations and means of executing that right by centers of power can vastly differ. In the ancient Roman republic, optimates and populares had vastly different political attitudes on who should play an active role in the government. In the name of democracy, leaders from both sides executed their power in different ways. However, optimates best represented the ideals of modern democracy through their attempts to prioritize efficiency and reduced conflict with qualified officials and have the people’s best interests at heart, with famous optimates such as Cato often standing up for the citizens against some populares’ attempts to abuse their power.
- The Republic(official source of power) lasted from 507 to 31 B.C.E. and included an Assembly of male citizens, the wealthy man’s vote held at a higher significance that that of the poor man’s.
Rome is known for its’ empire (The Roman Empire). Rome started out small and ended up becoming this huge and undefeatable force of nature. Rome received their success by either attacking other nearby towns/neighbors or granting them treaties or citizenships. E. Badien, the author who created an article called, The Organization Of Italy, explains how Rome organized Italy, and got their neighboring cities and nations to join them and turn ancient Italy into a leading state of power. In Badien’s observations, he finds that granting citizenship and the Latin’s helped Rome to become powerful and assisting Italy to be more structured.

Government is extremely important in a country, because without it, all hell would break loose, and wrong doers would receive
Both Greek Democracy and the Roman Republic contributed greatly to the development of the modern world, bringing into it the notions of democracy and republic. The evolution of these concepts took them to a level much higher than one present in Ancient Greece and Rome respectively. However, modern society continues to draw on somewhat idealized accounts of the ancient world for inspiration in improving today’s governing procedures.
After the Ancient Greeks lost their power and faded away, Rome took its place as the new power. From a republic to an empire, Rome quickly grew into the world’s leading nation. Unlike Greece, Rome did not focus on innovation but rather shifted their attention on improving and adapting methods that already exist to create a more practical and “Roman” style. Rome’s worldview of Utilitarianism, which can be seen in all aspects of Roman life including government, architecture and literature united the nation into a distinct and prosperous empire.
Philosophers have struggled with determining the proper role of government. In the absence of government and laws, people could do whatever they wanted, and some of them would try to slaughter others and steal their property. This is the state called anarchy. People have realized that the safety of the people and the country would be in jeopardy in such a state. Thus, it is necessary for a country to have a government and/or ruler. However, a ruler must not have absolute power nor lack authority. But the protection of the people and the country alone is not enough for a country to prosper. The property and the natural rights of the people and the government must also be protected. Thus, the proper role of government is to protect the
What is government? Government is a person or group of people who control and make decisions for a country. It has a number of particular roles to help make a country survive and function successfully. I believe that without the roles a government provides a country would not function and would eventually fail. Therefore, I think government is necessary because without it there would not be any provided protection, resources, and regulations.
