1. INTRODUCTION
The course Project Management under Professor Thomas A. Brodowski is one of the most constructive courses I have taken so far. The learnings of this course is very broad and will play a major role when I work in teams at work as it taught me several important things like interacting with the group and working as a team to finish the project. The even distribution between the meeting of group onsite and offsite was one the most important trait of the course as it prepared us how to interact and work in a team environment. The techniques which I have learnt in this course hold a very high value for me. The group activities made me understand the course more and helped in learning the dynamics of working in team environment.

The most important part was the course structure. Initially, when the class was being divided into teams, I hoped that I would team up with people whom I already know like it happens in the other courses. But when I was put into a group of people I was meeting for the first time, things were lot different than I expected. The group assignments and case studies played a very important part by bringing the team together. Also initially, I didn’t understand the essence of having hybrid classes but at the end of the semester, I realize that it’s essential to have such a course structure where the learnings have to be self-made on the basis of the input provided. Shifting the focus to the content, most important learning to me was time and stress management under pressure. My next major learning was the triple constraints. I was always someone who favored SWOT analysis and now I started combining it with the triple constraints and it has just been yielding better results. Also, the lecture on communication skills; soft and hard skills, helped me to find the out areas in which I needed improvement. The major learning aspects of the course like working in a team, managing and delivering successful projects, applying best practices to plan the project, estimating and scheduling task work, duration and cost, and implementing risk management techniques and mitigation strategies were imparted in a constructive way that would help in

Team leadership can be very instrumental in the success of a project to ensure that the project stays on schedule, encouraging use of best practices, planning and scheduling activities, problem solving and helping to facilitate control. To sum up, concepts I learned in this class has affected me insidiously. I think the best way to review those concepts is using in my real life. Moreover, I realized that group dynamics for teams is not an easy issue, it could be a critical factor of making a team

i. Speed has become a competitive advantage; more and more organizations are relying on cross-functional project teams to get new products and services to the market as quickly as possible.
Prior to this course, I thought that in order to manage a project you need to be a project manager. However, this course changed my perspective on project management. As I continue to read the book, I realized that I actually manage many projects, and project management is not only limited to organizations. Throughout our lives, we manage many projects from planning a wedding to building a house, some of those projects may take few days and some may take years to complete. In addition, I also learned that there are no two projects that are alike, each project has it’s own unique elements that set it apart from other projects.
