The novel “The curious incident of the dog in the time” was written in the point of view of a boy named Christopher with special needs. Christopher was trying to discover the murderer of his neighbor’s dog. This novel may have been written for many reasons such as to show what life is like in the eyes of someone with a disability and how different the world may seem. Throughout the entire novel we saw things the way Christopher would have and the story was so well written it made you almost feel the way Chrisopher did at certain situations. There aren’t many stories that are actually in the point of view of someone with a disability they are more in the point of view of people who are living okay lives and have to help people with a disability live with their disability but this story isn’t about pitying Christopher it’s about him being a detective and just living his life. It also may have been written to show that it doesn’t matter if you …show more content…
The author did get his message he set out to get across. Throughout the book everything came from Christopher’s perspective and he lived his life like anyone would have. This book is was a little difficult to understand because how Christopher speaks and the way the book was written, so in my opinion this novel is more meant for older people. Younger children may not understand the concept and the actual point of the story so they won’t really be able to appreciate the book in a way that a more mature audience would. There are better books out there to chose but i also think it was a good book because Christopher was disabled and it could make Teens my age understand the struggle or just overall way someone that is in Christopher’s situation live. It was a interesting book so I wasn’t as bored reading it as I thought I would be and overall it was a good book and it may have been a book i would have read only if someone would have recommended it to

In Haddon’s novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the objectivity of truth is placed into question. Throughout the book, Haddon is able to assimilate to his readers the thoughts and experiences of a boy with autism. The way in which Christopher views the world, is drastically distinctive from the majority of other persons. He is unable to distinguish a vast array of emotions and has difficulty emphasizing with and understanding others. Christopher is only able to make sense of other’s feelings and emotions through logical and literal interpretation. Ironically, Christopher’s own thoughts and emotions are void of this scrutiny. As a human being, Christopher is subject to feelings and emotions like everyone else. As a result of his inability to make sense of emotions, he is often forced to construe reasons for his own illogical behavior. Through means of Christopher’s pretentious interpretations, Haddon is able to establish an underlying theme of subjectivity.
Unlike his interactions with strangers, Christopher started out trusting his father but as time went on he lost that trust.. Christopher was able to forgive his father even though he lied to him. Christopher’s father lied to him about killing Wellington and after that Christopher lost all his trust in his father. He didn’t even feel safe around his father. “That meant he could murder me, because I couldn’t trust him, even though he had said “trust me” because he had told a lie about a big thing.” Christopher runaway from home to find his mother and live with her because he could no longer trust his father. With the recent history of gun violence on college campuses, questions have been raised on how incidents like these can best be prevented. One proposed solution is allowing firearms to be carried on campuses. With many states passing the open carry law, the topic of guns on campus has become a major issue; however, there are many reasons to why allowing guns to be carried on campus would not help prevent situations like these. A college campus is a place where individuals of different maturity levels come to learn and develop. Research has shown that college students are not fully developed in regards to impulse and judgment, so allowing a student to be able to carry a gun would not be a logical choice. In addition, allowing guns on campus could lead to an increase in reckless shooting incidents, an increase in gun related crimes, and add to the difficulty to law enforcement personnel. A college campus needs to be a safe place for all. To ensure the safest environment for college students, guns should not be able to be carried on campus with the exception to law enforcement.

The domestic dog has to be one of the most unique animals that the human had ever bred. All dogs were formed differently and for separate reasons; whether it be for their looks or for their personal attributes, the dog has been evolved around humans and yet many breeds were created by humans themselves. I also believe that having a dog is a necessity to having a balanced life, just how Cesar Millan was quoted on the Brainy Quote web page “The dog can only become what's in your bubble. The dog is imitating the energy that is in your bubble. You are the source, the feast of energy. If you feel anxious, the dog becomes anxious with you. If you become nervous, the dog wakes up nervous with you”. Your dog runs off of your actions and emotions
