I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical, but you could never work out the rules even if you spent all your time thinking about them. It wasn't about believing this or that it wasn't even about good and evil and right and wrong, it was about finding the strength to bear the discomfort that comes with being in the world. In the murder mystery novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, the author Mark Haddon graduated from Oxford University in 1981 returning later to study for an M.Sc. in English Literature at Edinburgh University. After getting told to not be in the business by his father, Christopher didn't feel comfortable telling him he found out what happened. Once Chris's father found out about the book, his father started to hit him. The quote supports my claim because Christopher only likes prime numbers and is good at math from his point of view. prime numbers are very important and it's very logical because it can always work out in the rules when you can spend all your thinking. Christopher always got told to say the truth and nothing but the truth and never tell lies from his mother. From my point of view, Christopher just wanted to know the truth that his father didn't tell him about Mrs, Shears's dog and what really happened to his mother, but also why did Christopher have to find out on his own that his mother wasn't dead. If I was in Christopher's shoes, I would be super upset because we all need mothers and fathers in our lives. Christopher solves the mystery of the dog's death. Christophers decided to investigate the incident on his own and even traveled to London. Haddon Page 136 - "Haddon" Christopher struggles to understand the emotion of human communication and his desire for straightforward honesty when he undercovers the truth in his mother's access when he reflects to, "And I know I can do this because I went to London on my own and because I saw and solved the mystery of who killed Wilmington"(Haddon226).
