No one thought that Helen Keller would be able to hear or see ever again. Just how Christopher Boone thought he would never be able to live with his dad because of what had happened. But, you can overcome anything. This is something that both Helen and Christopher learned. While reading the book The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time I could relate to a lot of the things that Christopher Boone learned. One of the many lessons that both Christopher and I have learned is that people lie and aren’t always trustworthy. Christopher definitely learned this when he found out that his dad, Ed Boone, had lied about the death of Christopher’s mother and about not knowing who killed Wellington the dog. Most people probably

To write a good mystery novel takes time and only a few authors have been successful in writing them. Mystery novels has been around for a period of time with historical authors such as Arthur Conan Doyle and recent author Stephen King. In these novels, clues are provided by the author and Christopher Boone, narrator of the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, states, “If it is a good puzzle you can sometimes work out the answer before the end of the book” (5). In relation to this, the most valuable information is typically gained throughout the process of the investigation rather than the solution itself. Although the book The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time is not classified as a detective story, the plot still goes through an investigation and shares elements of a mystery novel. The mystery within the story that keeps the novel going is to find the killer of Mrs. Shears’ poodle, Wellington, and in turn, shapes the ending where the audience sees the development of the protagonist, Christopher, through the investigation itself, the journey to London and his overall ability as a writer.
‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ by Mark Haddon efficiently presents an internal unique view of a person with a disability, also the complexity of human emotions and relationships. Also, the effective demonstration of Christopher’s complicated everyday life results from his lack of understanding human emotions and social conditions. This is comparable to the challenging distinct disagreements between Christopher’s family members because of his behavioural problems. Haddon effectively highlights Christopher's disability throughout the first person murder mystery novel, which is also revealed in the language and structure of the book. The distinctive ideas present diverse concepts throughout the novel that relates to Christopher’s

Thesis Statement: When I watch superhero movies, I only think of male superheroes, as there are many of them. But then again there is Wonder Woman, Cat Woman and Black Widow, who are heroes and are also women. We usually forget about them being heroes. Which makes me acknowledge the reasons of what makes a hero a hero. Argument 1 The attribute of independence can identify both men and women. Argument 2 Also, the courage can define the hero rather than the gender. Thesis Heroism is not outlined Heroism is not outlined by gender, but rather by independence and courage.
The novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by: Mark Haddon is unlike any book I have ever read. In my opinion the title is misleading to what the story is actually about. But I think that’s what makes this book so incredible. By trying to solve the murder of the dog Wellington Chris uncovered a deeper secret. From the beginning it was easy to fall in love with Chris because of his innocent personality. Although in the book it never states Chris has autism we automatically assume he does because of his actions. I don’t have any experience of what living with autism is like but Chris’ story gave me a real understanding of what it is like to live with the disorder.

It can create a world full of distress, by limiting the ability to predict and control a certain situation or by questioning one’s own ability to raise and positively influence that child. There are many parents who suffer from this incomplete feeling of not being able to raise a successful, “normal” child.
