In addition to cultures and how they act upon situations there was a part where the mother in the story Everyday Use speaks about Dee and Maggie and the description of how they look. She describes Dee as pretty, thick, having pretty hair, and basically being outspoken. And she describes Maggie as not being that pretty, not having good hair as Dee, being thin, also how she looks to the ground as she walks. I can understand from that on both sides of how Maggie and Dee are both described by their mother, because people tell me I’m pretty and how I have pretty hair like Dee mother described her. And Then when it comes to how the mother speaks upon Maggie I’m not as outspoken and constantly EVERYDAY, people complains how small/skinny I am! Our
