Introduction Numerous studies have been conducted on various biological concepts to find out the different chemical reactions that take place in the bodies of living organisms and the influence of various organic substances in these reactions. The reactions are influenced by various enzymatic actions that are very important in the body as they help in activities such as the breakdown of substances for assimilation in the body. This paper explains the various processes taking place in the body and the effect of enzymes on chemical reactions in the body.
Background information There are various processes that take place in the bodies of living organisms. These include the homeostasis, metabolism, anabolism, and catabolism. These processes are essential in the body since they keep the organism alive. For instance, metabolism provides energy to the organism while homeostasis maintains a constant internal environment and ensures constant body conditions. The organisms are made up of organic compounds that include carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids that are essential for body protection. The reactions taking place in the body of the organism get influenced by enzymatic action that alters the rate of the reactions. These enzymes work best at a favourable temperature and optimum PH value.

⦁ Definition of homeostasis. Homeostasis refers to as a property of a life form or system that offers it some assistance with maintaining its parameters inside of an ordinary…
