Negative effects of extreme dieting Are you happy with the way you look? Lots of people, especially females, are not and feel the constant need to diet (or limit their food intake) in hopes of getting their dream body; a body type that society has label desirable and beautiful. Proper dieting can be a great way to stay healthy but can also easily be taken out of proportion. In the popular cases of extreme dieting, they have been known to cause serious health issues. The true purpose of dieting is to become healthy and should not always be focused on “losing weight”. It is very important to know the negative effects of changing your diet and how to do so in a responsible and stable manner. Dieting is necessary in living a long, healthy life. For most, it is a tough process of restricting calories and therefore limiting food consumption to see the weight on the scale decrease. Dieting can be extremely challenging and take self-control and perseverance. The problem with dieting is that it primarily focuses on losing weight to achieve your fitness goals.
