A) Physical factors are all about the impact that a new build will have on people and buildings in the surrounding area. Any new project is likely to have a negative impact on the people and businesses in the surrounding area, such as road congestion.
Environmental factors look at the impact that the new build will have on the natural environment this includes looking at the impact to trees and other vegetation, wildlife and habitats. It can also look at the effects of noise and air pollution that is going to be created by the building process.
B) Before a building is designed and built there are some physical factors that need to be taken into consideration as part of the construction planning process:
Planning requirements – the local

Impact on local amenities – during the construction of a building it is likely that local roads may get congested and parking may be affected both of which could impact local businesses.
Impact on Services - a new development or building will need to be supplied with electricity and connected to the sewage and water system, this will all require excavation work to connect them up.
Impact on infrastructure – any large new developments will have a big effect on the roads and public transport in and around the area of the area. Often when permission for a new development is passed it is agreed that the company will improve, install and repair roads to and around the site.
Topography of the proposed development - topography refers to position of the site and how dominant it will be in the local landscape. If the building stands out too much and is considered too obstructive or visible it will likely be refused planning permission.
C) As with physical factors, there are also some environmental factors that also need to be taken into consideration in the planning process:
Existing trees and vegetation – the site may have to be cleared of vegetation to make space for the buildings, the problem with this is that some of the trees and plants may be protected and not allowed to be removed. The way it’s normally done is minimising the removal of vegetation already at the site, then having a replanting phase after the site has been developed.
Impact on wildlife/habitats – any
buildings. This could be a site for new lawns, animals and plants. These hazardous natural
During this part of the report, I will be discussing what problems could occur during each phase (pre-construction, construction, post construction) and how you can go about preventing this from
1. Ecological Impact issues due to the construction of this port. This being the most important because the disruption of ecological settings will begin as soon as construction begins, so no room to try anything else to minimize this effect.
13) Addition of construction jobs and increases in visitors to the area could benefit the local economy.
There are different potential environmental impacts when building the new school on the local natural environment. Most of which are positive impacts however some may be negative. For the project to get the go ahead it needs a number of positive impacts on the local environment with minimal negative impacts. Before the project begins, a run through of what impacts on the local environment are brought up as the project goes through its construction stages. Some of the potential impacts on the local natural environment that are positive are: reduction of pollution to the local area; less waste produced from the project.
Whenever the federal government makes a proposal for expansion and improvement of publicly maintained roads and utilities, it evaluates which communities, private properties and businesses will be affected. As cities and towns are expanding and undertaking improvements to roadways, sewer and power lines, communications, and other systems, and to meet the demands of rise in population, the government must often secure or acquire access to private land.
2.This explains that if the government increase work on public infrastructure, there will be more jobs for planning and working in the field. This will help both environment and people by developing the environment while giving people jobs.
While zoning residential areas would have its positive outcomes, there are also certain drawbacks that would affect the city overall. One drawback that needs to be considered is the prevention of economic development in blighted areas. Criticism arises in the thought that if the special zoning ordinance were put
For example, Bluewater in Kent is built in a former quarry. This redevelopment of brownfield sites can often help to regenerate an area. In city centres, positive impacts include local councils and the government investing money into improving the city centre, in order to attract customers back. Some of these improvements may include creating new pedestrian zones, renovating older shopping malls and organising events. Also, pollution and congestion may decrease as fewer people drive to the city centre to shop. These positive impacts may lead people to believe that the decentralisation of retailing and other services has had a major positive impact on urban areas.
This can cause problems when it comes to local events that bring in tourist to attend. By having limited ways for the local community to get around they tend to fill up local parking areas. This prevents tourist from finding parking spots of their own and can limit the amount of people to attend local events. By having other means for the local community to get around can prevent this issues along with reduction of motorized traffic and environmental impacts.
such as New Orleans. Building these structures may be expensive, but as compared to the
These kind of negative consequences can lead to positive pro-environmental behavior in regards to raising gas prices, building alternate routes around town, keeping sidewalks clean for individuals to walk on, and putting in bike lanes. By raising gas prices individuals do not travel as much so less traffic congestion and pollution, adding alternate routes around the town can help break up the flow of traffic, and adding bicycle lanes, and keeping sidewalks clean will help encourage individuals who live in town to ride bicycles, and walk. Positive consequences of traffic is that it encourages motorist to re-time their road trip to when the traffic is not as congested, and also by reducing speeds can cause less road accidents.
Environmental analysis is important for a company. This allows for the company to look at external factors that will help them to succeed or fail. Environmental analysis could be internal as well as external. The internal analysis allows the company to look within and analyze the successes and see where improvement can and should be made. The external analysis looks at factors such as location, marketing, and surrounding areas to analyze if the these factors are what is best for the company.
technical factors may also have a profound impact on the final design concept. These aspects will be
An organization is an open system; therefore it interacts with its environment. To manage the relationship with the environment, a large part of strategic planning is concerned. The environmental factors can be divided to 2 main categories, which is MACRO and MICRO .Macro environmental factors seriously affect an organization business practice, profitability and future progress. It can
